Gareth Renowden (MA Oxon) is a writer, photographer and truffle grower based in the Waipara Valley. He blogs on climate science and policy at Hot Topic, and is co-presenter (with Glenn Williams) of The Climate Show. His latest book, The Aviator – The Burning World, Book One, is a science fiction satire set in a near future where climate change and economic collapse is ravaging the planet. He’s written for and worked on newspapers and magazines in New Zealand, the US and the UK. His small farm is the only property in NZ to produce three species of truffle: the Périgord black, bianchetto and Burgundy truffles he grows are used by New Zealand’s finest chefs and restaurants.
