Announce protest actions, general chit chat or give your opinion on issues we haven’t covered for the day.

The Editor doesn’t moderate this blog,  3 volunteers do, they are very lenient to provide you a free speech space but if it’s just deranged abuse or putting words in bloggers mouths to have a pointless argument, we don’t bother publishing.

All in all, TDB gives punters a very, very, very wide space to comment in but we won’t bother with out right lies or gleeful malice. We leave that to the Herald comment section.

EDITORS NOTE: – By the way, here’s a list of shit that will get your comment dumped. Sexist abuse, homophobic abuse, racist abuse, anti-muslim abuse, transphobic abuse, Chemtrails, 9/11 truthers, Qanon lunacy, climate deniers, anti-fluoride fanatics, anti-vaxxer lunatics, 5G conspiracy theories, the virus is a bioweapon, some weird bullshit about the UN taking over the world  and ANYONE that links to fucking infowar.

  1. I’ve been finding something disturbing. There is a person whose posting daily abuse directed at trans children, their parents and politicians on kiwiblog. Here is the worrying thing that makes me believe he is a threat to these people. It is Mark Lundy posting under the name notsofast

    • How do you know Jessica? Supposed to be private even if it is Genghis Khan. Perhaps give us a link to the one you find objectionable. Different people have different levels of sensitivity. I am concerned about the number of trans children that are now appearing in NZ society – why? Is caused by toxic stuff in the soil, or in the air-waves?

  2. This might be the last time Netanyahu can risk leaving Israeli territory without being arrested.

Even then I expect the protests in the US will match or even exceed anything before.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) is poised to join Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) in inviting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to deliver an address to Congress,….

“He intends to join the invitation, the timing is being worked out,” the Senate leader’s spokesperson told The Hill.

  3. Hey, remember when Labour was boasting about having built slightly over 25,000 state homes in six years- while selling a bunch of others off?

The Venezuelan people’s government just passed 4.9 million homes built in 13 years. Scaling that by population and time, that’s the equivalent of more than 400,000 homes in Labour’s time in power here.

The failure of Labour under Ardern and Bishop to push any sort of pro-human left-wing policy is a scandal.

  4. Waikato University boss Quigley does a dodgy procurement process for 1.1 million with Steven Joyces’ company this smell bad and is bad he should get the boot, Quigley that is.

  5. Gordon Campbell explains in everyday understandable language about how NZ/AO is controlling inflation.
As usual this government seems utterly clueless about what it has wrought.
Weirdly, having (a) more people thrown out of work and (b) smaller wage increases among he survivors is – officially – what counts as success in reducing inflation. If you systematically impoverish the workforce, it can’t spend the money it doesn’t have on the essentials at the supermarket. So prices will fall, right? Hey, be happy, people.

  6. WE go from one ill-mannered, incompetent boasting lot of politicians to another with the standards of their work and results in the country steadily dropping. I say drop the lot. Instead of boasting have jousting.

We take the eventual winner of those chosen to compete, who would control and mediate over a Council of People who have passed special examinations and scored on tests to ensure educated, experienced, capable citizens of probity. Everyone would be glued to the contest and really interested. The combatants would have to have made some of their gear, and have some metal work skills.

This would be appropriate as we are sinking into past aeons down to the Iron Age on a practical level, and advancing into the conceptual, magical age where real physical work is eschewed. Look it up you illiterates who don’t understand. Yes reading is going down too in favour of watching moving pictures that appeal to feelings.

We must be better off with able people at the helm and there would be no way that hierarchies of families could dominate just through string pulling. You would have to be a competitor and able and that would cut out most of our present poseurs.
