  1. I was pretty disgusted in the way they killed this man. We said the taser would be abused and now it is happening and this isn’t the first time they keep saying they will learn from there mistakes but how many mistakes will it take for them to learn and how many lives will it costs.
If they ever did this to one of my whanau members look out I would be very angry indeed and on the war path the police are getting away with far too much bad behavior its not good enough in our country to have this happening

  2. Is this a serious article?
I am referring to the use of cut edits to provide a few seconds of “out of context’ video with your judgements made. A jury of peers deemed the Police officers not guilty because they had the full story. And yet here you are missing the facts of a man that was asked 5 times to comply with police instructions. They broke the windows, used pepper spray and after he still wouldnt comply, they then used the taker. The obese man died of a heart attack, well…. No surprises there.
Next time on your opinion news website, give the full story.

    1. Failure to comply (remembering he had been raped, probably causative to his mental illness) is not grounds for execution.
Last time I checked we lived in a society where police are bound by rules.

  3. Tasers? Pffft. Just think how more “effective” Greg O’Connor will make our police once we get Labour in power!

  4. You seem to be missing the part where it was the same Police who investigated the matter, found that the use of force was unjustified and excessive and criminally charged the officers involved.

It was a jury of your peers who decided that nope, the Police were wrong to charge them and the officers were innocent.
