  1. another possibilty you seem not to consider…is that mana/maori party do a deal and take back all the maori seats..and because of those certainties will also get a decent party vote..

..so nz first may not even be needed…

..that is what i wd like to see…(fingers/toes-crossed..)

..i have tired of the xenophobic/nativist-schtick of peters..long tired of it..

..this whole brexit nastiness has just emphasised just how close britain first! and new zealand first are..

..has underlined just what those words mean..

..and in a country where the bottom 40% have just 3% of the nations’ wealth..and given that would include most maori..

..for nz first and its’ supporters to rant that they get ‘special treatment’..

    ..is a cynical-obscenity…

    ..(as i said..i have fingers/toes crossed..)

    1. The tory Maori party with National party cabinet dinner fundraiser support said they were going after all the Maori seats in the last election and only retained 1 out of 7 seats. Labour won back 6 of the 7 seats. There’s no question about it, the treasonous tory Maori party should be kicked out of parliament next year.

Knock out the tory Maori party and Peter Dunne, no friends National can’t form a government with side kick Act alone, they’re out, rightfully consigned to history.

Hone has a better chance if he doesn’t align himself with the politically toxic tory Maori party. A vote for the Maori party is a vote for National.

  2. Nah Winston knows more about the corrupt lot in parliament than anyone eels put together so don’t worry he will be needed alright as soon as the slithery, slimy, Nactional, unleash “Dirty Politics volume 2”
They will attempt to firstly deconstruct the weakest party first so NZ First wont be attacked by those black ops dirty politics merchants until they have weakened the other parties, Mana, greens, and Maori Party as they are now having issues with recent dissention.
Even labour will be attacked by the Nactional dirt campaign.

All opposition Parties need to together hold a suumit of a “coalition of the willing” “win the 2017 Election strategy”

    1. Ditto here Priss. If he was offered a good deal for himself (not for the country), Winston would sell his soul (and NZ) to National in a heartbeat. This is the main factor which prevents us in this household from voting NZF.

I just wish Winston would come out before the election and reveal his hand as to which side he will take his party. After all we are an MMP voting system now and the public has the right to know who and what they are voting for. The ambiguity of his “not saying before the election is over” policy is annoying and puts many people off voting for NZF, which is a pity, because the party does have some very good policies.

Winston needs to pull his finger out, stop thinking what’s going to be the best deal for him and him alone and start considering what’s beneficial for NZ as a nation. Otherwise he just might find himself on the outside looking in again.

    2. Even an absolute promise from Peters to unite to Change the Government could not be relied on. But it would get a lot more votes. He will then say Nat/NZF is a different government, Nats are the biggest party etc. National has no ideology or principles it won’t lose to make a deal.

  3. “Nah Winston knows more about the corrupt lot in parliament than anyone eels put together”

    Probably because he is one.

Simunovich fisheries, scampi, vela brothers, owen glenn, racing industry, the list goes on.

A bottom line for Winston is one that lines the bottom of his pockets.

  4. I know one thing with 100% certainty, Winston Peter’s will never support National with John key in it. John key burnt his bridges with Winston when Winston supported the previous Labour government. The last time Winston supported National was in the 1990s, and he publicly apologized for it in 98′

During the 2014 general election Winston said he was approached and asked if he would support National if John key was no longer in the picture, that’s how desperate the Nats were and no doubt, still are.

I can see Winston forming a government with the Lab/Greens. All 3 are pretty much on the same page, yet Winston’s knuckleheaded ego driven, stand alone stance and refusal to publicly acknowledge this during the election campaign is another reason for the loss in 2014. He can blame the ‘left et al’ as much as he likes, but he himself played a part in that too. I know he wants to see John key and his Nats out, but he needs to come clean about his intentions to achieve that objective, and that’s what all in the opposition wants as well.
