  1. If that’s ‘winning’, losing don’t feel so bad.

It seems schadenfreude is all that politics can deliver.

  2. Luxon is not as spinless as Jacinda was and is used to the rough and grumble of the business World .I am sure Luxon has dealt with tougher leaders than Winston or David .Do not forget in business you are fighting with your own money so you have real skin in the game.
Of course there will be consequences but Winston has made his claim weaker by his strange twitter and Daivd is weaker than he was so their more extreme wants may not see the light of day . Both of Act and NZF know they need to be seen as sensible players otherwise in 3 short years the fickle voters will turn on them like they have on Labour.
I doubt Labour will rebuild in 3 years so National have a lot to play for in coming across as the party of the middle people

    1. Trev – are you smoking meth?

Luxon ran fucking Air NZ – backed by the Government!

Previous to that, he sold deodorant.

He’s not messiah, he’s just a very average boy.

Put down the glass pipe bro

      1. Trevor has become sillier by the day. Luxon ran Air NZ with his own money…insert fucking hilarious emoji here…!
Ask Air NZ, they thought he was shit.

    2. Ardern might have been extremely disappointing on things like CGT and to a lesser extent weed legalisation, but I don’t think you could call her gutless. It would have been easier for her to ignore health advice and not go into lockdowns, especially the last Auckland one.

  3. The biggest dead rat of all Winston PM. Matt McCarten reckons he was a very good deputy PM. If they made Winston PM they likely wouldn’t have swallow any other dead rats.

  4. Martyn You’re a braver man than I am Gunga Din. Sweet Jesus watch over you and all who try for a better simpler NZ/AO with lasting power and practical skills and are able to form a cohesive unit with the flaky ones dropping off harmlessly. Tinkerbell the fairy will stay alive if enough people clap their hands and set to work co-operatively with goodwill and humanitarian values.

  5. Winston is the wild card, as always.
As he’ll probably figure it will be his absolute last term he’ll either not give a toss what policy he kisses goodbye to – or he’ll just revel in the attention of not budging an inch.

  6. The platform was the lead story on one news with the Winston interview. Hopefully they get NZ on air funding.
