…the Government continues to sit on their hands because their entire election narrative is Labour overspent during COVID and that is why we have the debt problem now (despite National borrowing more). They won’t protect us from what’s coming because it damages their election talking points!
It’s so desperate, National won’t use the same theatre Jacinda did because they want to eclipse that memory of competent crisis management.
Two Very Different Crisis Responses
This is the difference between Labour and National in a crisis:
- NZ fell over under Labour with Covid and Jacinda and Grant stopped, helped us to our feet, gave us a cuddle and said the cost was going on the credit card.
- NZ falls over under National with a fuel crisis, and Luxon and Nicola kick us for being weak, tell us to stop crying and say the free market will solve it.
Silence on the International Stage
Put aside National’s paralysis to do anything to undermine their election narrative, National, ACT and NZ First don’t even have the spine to call Trump and Israel out for the illegal war in Iran that has generated all the pain at the pump!
The Moral Cost of Silence
We are on the side of the war criminals here.
If we can’t raise the courage to denounce Trump and Israel for what they have started, we deserve everything coming our way.
