Venezuela condemns Trump airspace closure warning
Venezuela has condemned US President Donald Trump’s statement that the airspace around the country should be considered closed.
The country’s foreign ministry called Trump’s comments “another extravagant, illegal and unjustified aggression against the Venezuelan people”.
The US does not have legal authority to close another country’s airspace and the Venezuelan statement accused Trump of making a “colonialist threat”.
The US has built its military presence in the area and carried out at least 21 strikes on boats it said were carrying drugs, killing more than 80, without providing evidence. Venezuela’s President Nicolás Maduro has said the US actions are attempt to oust him.
In his book, The Room where it happened, Neoliberal Hawk John Bolton goes into detail at the attempted coup 2019 by Trump against Venezuela and as Trump ratchets up an enormous fleet off the coast.
It’s a fascinating insight into how deeply involved Trump’s first term was in the attempted coup against Maduro and provides some insight into Trump’s current thinking.
Trump’s concerns as outlined by Bolton were Venezuela empowering China, Cuba and Russia. It was also to appease the Venezuelan-American community who strategically had all moved to Florida to provide a powerful Republican voting block.
Trump’s desire in 2019 was for military action which bewildered even a war monger like Bolton…
“Trump insisted he wanted military option for Venezuela and then keep it because “it’s really part of the United States”.
…Bolton said this aggression surprised him, but it would get worse…
“Trump, as usual, was having trouble distinguishing responsible measures to protect legitimate American interests from what amounted to vast overreaching of the sort no other government, especially a democratic one, would even consider.
…when Bolton is the voice of reason, you are in deep trouble.
With all restraints off the second term of Trump, a Venezuelan invasion almost looks certain.

He should be arrested and charged with 80 counts of murder as there is no evidence of those boats having drugs aboard and any drugs produced now could have come from any where .The fact he is releasing a convicted drug lord is confirmation he is not worried about drugs its oil and rear earth he wants .You only have to look at what he wanted from Ukraine .

Lets not forget, Gordon, Venezuela was showing the rest of South America that socialism could work, that is a capitalist system with a heavy dose of socialism, that Venezuela adopted once the Chavez, now Maduro goverment assumed office. This type of governance is far more significant to US interests than the need to control their oil, ever was. Trump successfully disabled that movement in his first term.
