  1. Well done Chlöe. NZ Labour should take note (Damien O’Connor excepted)–taking a strong unequivocal stand gets support and respect.

The week ban imposed by big Jezza is over the top (unless she grovels to the House today or later in the week upon which she will be allowed back according to the Speaker). Some of the nasty stuff sirkey got away with in Parliament was much worse. NZ First denigrating Mexicans and Jones telling Green members their Palestinian scarves were “terrorist tea towels”–Jones does not respect his own culture let alone anyone else’s it seems.

  2. Chloe is showing the current government what leadership looks like .They don’t like it because they know their leader is fucken useless. You go girl .

    1. Agree 1,000,000 %.
The Greens have the guts hence why I support them while everyone else bar TPM bow down to the Zionists, corps and the wealthy.
Screw the lot of them, sanction Israel NOW!!!

  3. How on earth can you be punished for speaking the truth.
    The Taxpayers Union
“We protect, expand, and fight for New Zealanders’ rights to freedom of speech, conscience, and intellectual inquiry. We envision a flourishing New Zealand civil society that values and protects vigorous debate, dissenting ideas, and freedom of speech as cultural cornerstones.”
Where the fuck are those spineless jellyfish.
When we look at what is happening in the US and UK, we should be dismissive of those like Brownlee wanting to suppress the truth, and call them out for exactly what they are.

  4. I would think that Brownlee is the ultimate spineless wonder; he didn’t have the integrity to let his electorate decide his value, so he went on the list instead. Parliament has such pathetic rules, Chloe has to apologise to get back into parliament, yet losers like him, who have done nothing useful for the people rule as if they are some sort of Caesar.

  5. The real spineless one here is Brownlee.
Article on stuff quotes numerous times spineless or similes have been used in parliament over the years including from Key and Peters.
He needs to withdraw and apologize.

    1. In parliament today Brownlee has stuck to his guns which is par for this arrogant racist government.
His ruling allows for people like Winston and Seymour to spread hate and create attacks on MP’s.

  6. An interesting article in Stuff today wrote of the many politicians, including Kieran McAnulty, Judith Collins, and Winston Peters, having used gutless and/or spineless, without punishment. Sadly this Coalition Government is so scared of offending Donald they are trying to silence anyone who speaks differently. Helped on tariffs, eh??!
Give it time the Green Party will be proscribed as a terrorist organisation for wanting peace in the Middle East.

  7. Does Brownlee realise that every time he throws someone out of parliament for telling the truth he increases their popularity with voters?
( John Key can tell the opposition, ‘Get some guts!’ but Chloe cannot say people need to get a spine?)

  8. Can’t stand Chloe (behaves like a trust fund baby @ at Harvard) but over reaction here in my opinion.

    1. I would agree. Calling people spineless is hardly offensive and it has been used before.

  9. Well, the word cunt was used and this was fine, maybe the CoC are dealing with infighting old fox Winstone is appearing a bit shaky when holding up a document during this debate maybe he is getting Parkinsons or is he starting to lose his marbles. Speaking of balls people were quick to condemn Chippy for having no balls but our PM and NZF are showing they have no balls only when it suits their own agenda. Also they (the CoC) do everything fast track but claim this is a complex issues, what about the women and children starving and dying and the journalist who were doing their jobs does this not require the same level of urgency.

  10. A friend did a search of Hansard to see how often the accusation ‘spineless’ has been used in Parliament. Between 1954 and 1990, it has been used 61 times. Yet suddenly it is unacceptable to say that there is a lack of spinal fortitude?

  11. The description of this CoC government is ‘insolent’. They don’t care about NZ, about the citizens they are supposed to represent, and feel in a superior position and people because they won the election, and have money behind them, and like spoilt children are prepared to demand what they want and persevere on getting it. They are rotten snobs and upstarts, quite self-centred playing up, not governing, not serious about our country ans we the people, and have set up as a set of real estate agency and self-promotion agency for post-political careers. There is a Cloud9 floating above us that is as destructive with its invisible downpour as the real clouds and the ‘atmospheric rivers’ bringing devastating long-lasting weather patterns.

Here is an explanation of the difficulties that weather scientists have with the media who put out so-called information, incorrectly. And we know that the media aren’t reporting our political matters factually and fully similarly!
With editors in our mainstream news media and even Auckland’s mayor not understanding and misusing this technical term we’ve decided here’s the best advice – rather than forever educating the media how about this, we’d rather say to you the public if you ever see “weather bomb” written in a news story double check it with WeatherWatch or MetService first because chances are it’s a misleading headline designed to simply get clicks.

If one compares the waves of adverse political and economic activities to the onset of regular climate severe happenings, is a way of viewing our present fast-moving impactful ‘storm’ of political changes. Looking at forecasts for worse weather, I suggest we must continue with alacrity to arrest, then satisfactorily settle, the political change, (otherwise alas, alack will be our wail.)

    The weather:
Could New Zealand face double extreme atmospheric rivers by century’s end?
New research suggests the West Coast of the South Island is most at risk of more extreme atmospheric rivers than anywhere else in the country. A study by the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research (NIWA) shows the phenomenon may double in New Zealand by the end of the century. 19 Mar 2025

  12. But they’re going to make a decision next month…..

Brownlee was rightly embarrassed but took it out on Swarbrick. What a man!
Indecision and weakness on moral questions are what we’ve come to expect from this Coc.
They are quick enough to make decisions that disadvantage ordinary NZders. They do that under urgency.
They’re quick to accommodate million/billionaires, lobbyists, bosses, landlords, and all the other leeches we have crawling around. Squeezing the life out of us isn’t a complex issue apparently
But a moral question is beyond them. And so many profess to be Christians too.

Many long-standing politicians such as Brownlee, think they’ll leave parliament on their own terms. At the rate they are going now, I think a few of them will have a nasty surprise next election even if they are safely tucked up on the list.

  13. Chloe is trying to prove she really is leader of the opposition. She is playing to her fan club just like most politicians .I cannot stand her and her Party but I admire her sincerity but you cannot break rules and get away with it otherwise what happens.

  14. Just Brownlee reiterating his fundamental unfitness to be speaker (or indeed anything else) – journalists have already found numerous instances of the term ‘spineless’ that less biased speakers ignored.

  15. She is special hence the all out attack on her from the right .She gets my vote as Does Hanna from the Maori party .Together they can set NZ on the path to equality again .
