By standing for nothing, Labour UK fell for everything.
The incrementalism of Starmer that reeks throughout the NZ Labour Party is the god damned kiss of death and if Labour’s political leadership in NZ can not shake the incrementalism of the Wellington Mandarins, they will suffer the same fate.
There’s the naked reality.
The rigged casino of Capitalism for the rich have robbed those below from hope and hollowed out public services seeing people’s lives go backwards.
The Left must make fundamental changes to the economy and tax settings to remove the tax yoke from the poor and place it upon the mega wealthy with a range of taxes that target their economic activities.
If the Left can not make meaningful change in the cost of peoples lives, they will be kicked out.
The problems is that the Left are too cowardly to step up and do the big things that need to be done to rebuild infrastructure and fully fund public services.
So the Left pander to cheap identity politics and incremental economic change.
That simply won’t be enough anymore.
If Labour NZ want to suffer the same fate as UK Labor, keep doing what they did, sweet bugger all.
What about Te Pati Maori? Do they need to learn anything. I ask because stories about them seem to have dropped off this blog, after several years where there was at least one story about TPM every day?
What ‘Labour’? Old Labour was murdered by roger douglas more than 40 years ago and has never risen back up from the grave so consequently there is no Labour Party in the traditional sense.

A solution to that historic act of treachery would be to request the Crown for a thorough and very public royal commission of inquiry up and into who most profited from such an historic of enduring deceit. There is no Labour Party in New Zealand only a bunch of hacks like the UK.
Exactly why I have voted Greens last two elections and will again this one only this time two ticks green.
