The approach of today’s governments seems to be repressive, punishing, authoritarian. This isn’t our country with people at the top doing their best to aid all citizens to achieve a good, enjoyable life as proud, achieving, making, integrating citizens by working with people, and doing what people want, amending after consultation and agreed efforts.

No it can choose to take no action even when requested and provided with collaborative photographic evidence according to this report. Running down people, taking them to Court after the bad event is countable, while measuring the number of families who have been helped and feel confident of better times perhaps does not lead to ticks on the CV and bonuses in the pocket. Is that the line of thought and action that occurs?

If so with OT staff, then turn around the thinking and apply the system to the client people with some reward to the families being worked with once improving. Being amenable to help and further on able to help themselves, it would become easier to push outbreaks of dysfunction to longer intervals. Do not go for zero or 100% improvement, longer good times under measured stats would be a 100% improvement! Rome wasn’t built in a day was said some time ago; they obviously had difficulties to overcome there; we should know how to succeed at our tasks by now. So go for it you government and contract incompetents and browbeaters, improve thyselves.

Making crime? Old fashioned poltroons in government and also lacking in civic and citizens’ best interests. That is why cannabis must be kept hard to access cheaply with non-criminality. If it was easy to get it could be treated as a health education issue, and no one would be endangered for being seen as interested in it.

But NZs have not even really faced up to important facts and sexual matters too are not dealt with kindliness. practicality and matter of factly, but with sensitivity and allowing for it being an emotional matter for us. We prevent proper discussion leading to better understanding and better outcomes and less risky behaviour.

Thinking about health – I throw in at no extra cost! this great talk on health and the value of universality. Free Stuff is Good, Actually.
