  1. A bit of news that cropped up on the google presentation. From morningside – a device to be watched and read carefully, I think we have noted it before.
    https://www.morningside.nz/news/an-uninhabited-island-off-new-zealand-could-be-opened-to-the-public-as-early-as-2026/
The island’s remoteness has protected rare species, but isolation isn’t a complete shield. Climate shifts, invasive threats, and illegal landings still nibble at its safety. Opening the island in a controlled way could add eyes, funding, and pride to its protection.
There’s a simple idea gaining traction: use smart limits to make access part of the island’s long-term survival, not its undoing. As many rangers say, “Access can either be a risk or a remedy—execution decides.”…

Another bit of NZAO, hopefully by money-grabbing real estate ferrets, to be wrested from our hands by smart manipulation. Sell it to a grand seigneur who then takes charge of it and carries out DOC requirements for a while – then decides to set up a Jeffrey Epstein for some to resort to, maybe. But there will be a problem say seabirds shitting on the pristine surroundings and wanting to swim in the pool etc. and then…
This is the age of cynicism and for good reason.

    1. Thanks for that Neo. Its the sort of thing that I don’t want to know, feels like a cup of cold sick.
