GUEST BLOG: Arthur Taylor – Crown Law Trying to Usurp Corrections as the Biggest Bully on the Block
The Crown lost an extremely important case relating to fundamental human rights in the high court.
The Crown lost an extremely important case relating to fundamental human rights in the high court.
When the mainstream media scream against allegations that they are ‘fake news’, it’s this type of ‘journalism’ that gives proof that they are.
This hearing has been called with indecent haste , giving me no time to prepare . I believe certain parties at Auckland Prison are desperate to undermine any independent enquiry about the Waikeria transfer incident by pointing to me being convicted of a prison rules breach .
This is your prison system now and the violence and abuse used against me is an affront to basic decency.
…The Daily Blog is calling upon the Minister to investigate how our blogger came to be beaten unconscious and forced into a transfer while he is making valid complaints agains the staff who are abusing him.

Kelvin Davis must request an immediate report into this event.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to contact or know the safety of Arthur at this time, Corrections are refusing to answer any questions.

At least he was until the Night of Monday 27th of November when he apparently lost all hope that Corrections would ever allow him to complete the programs he needed to convince the Parole Board that he wasn’t an undue risk and could be released back to his loved ones.

Of those granted parole over that period, 15.5% reoffended and 84.5% didn’t. Of those who did not get parole 34.4% reoffended and 67.6% did not.
Fundamentally the problem we have with our prison system goes beyond the 2013 Bail Amendment Act, the real problem is the Sentencing Act 2002 which was passed by a knee jerk Helen Clark Labour Government. This single piece of legislation has done more to keep NZers locked up for 18-21 hours every day and dramatically expanded the prison population than any other law…
