Blaming mass immigration and cheap labour exploitation on Kiwis smoking weed is like downgrading your water quality and renaming it ‘swimmable’.
Not content with checking the pee of beneficiaries, the leader of the Big Business Party has now complained about local workers, blaming their refusal to submit to pee tests for the National Party policy of encouraging record immigration, which others say is making housing unaffordable, depressing wages and driving locals out of work.
It’s become a depressing pattern. Every time news of record migration numbers come out in the media, the National Party leap into action with another excuse for why they’re justified.
The most recent “alternative facts” laden argument for adding tens of thousands of people to the New Zealand labour market … is that apparently the workers already here can’t pass drug tests.
So after building the Prison Empire that we now suffer under, ACT have decided the skyrocketing prison population is a damaging social cancer and are suggesting if Prisoners learn reading or writing the will get an early release.
Lovely to see ACT come out of the dark ages.
Right now we have Breakfast TVNZ, The AM Show, The Project and Seven Sharp all of which manage to make us less compassionate, more ignorant and a lot dumber.
Unfortunately a stupid electorate is exactly what many Politicians want.
Ron Mark left Oman in 1990 to return to NZ and has spent much of the last 20 years building his political career in New Zealand. He is currently the deputy leader of NZ First, and should that party enter government after this year’s election, it would be likely that Ron mark would be pushing for a place in cabinet.
As for his claim that we need to import all this cheap and exploitable migrant labour because NZ stoners keep failing their drug tests, let’s remember that in 2015, 8000 beneficiaries were sent for drug testable jobs, and how many fails were there?

In my opinion it is important for the Greens to continue to challenge Labour’s orthodox economic model, where success is measured by GDP growth. This leads to bad Labour policies, including supporting deep sea oil drilling, excessive dairy farm intensification, and trade and investment treaties that serve corporate interests.
It is a New Zealand birth-right to be able to swim in our rivers. A dip in your local river on a hot day is a Kiwi tradition. Is it too much to ask that our kids can put their heads under the water without getting sick? What do people come to New Zealand for? Do farmers have the right to undermine our tourism industry?
