DS – Feel the quality of this jackboot Karen, manufactured by child labour, with minimal health and safety, working 16 hours a day, in poluting CO2 belching third world conditions, in complete allignment with Act party and Atlas Network and project 2025 ideology, which is something NZ can one day aspire to!

         GW, thank you for your reply comment that was very informative. I didn’t know of the workhouses in NZ, apart from Gloriavale arguably. They may have originally been started with good intentions, but the experience of residents wasn’t good. I’m old ehough to have spoken to some former UK workhouse residents.
         In the present day, lets hope the govt doesn’t just pay lip service to the abuse in care inquiry findings and recomendations. It’s too important. What this PM does about it, maybe what he is remembered for. NZ is watching..and will be voting.

         1. Dale stay hopeful. But now I’m old and studying the past I don’t notice much diversion from the basic routes towards self advantage of the people in power Improve conditions and someone’s nose is put out of joint. Shift advantages so more accessible to those left out, get angry cries; same if repair in later years for disgraceful behaviour those in charge chose not to confront. This by-pass of moral behaviour lies latent in most of us, needs effort to overcome similar to the Olympic high-jump; our politicians lack muscle and moral fortitude, we? The Lord loves a tryer the saying goes.

   1. Hah. program/pogrom would he ever trip that high? I can’t work out this fellow – he’s like a manifestation of fairies called boggarts (see Villains wiki). [Fairies] would lead travelers astray at night or lure men to their doom near ponds and rivers.So watch out.
