That little model reminds me of UK author Leslie Thomas’ experience with the police when a wandering orphan lad. The Mr Plods used to give him a bacon buttie or something when he gave himself up and then return him to the institution. That was policing in a good way. (Leslie became a famous author with a very human touch.)
