  1. “Many of our allies and friends are celebrating May 8 as victory day…..”

There’s the problem right there. No one should be “celebrating” . World War One and World War Two should not be celebrated by triumphalist military parades. Instead they should be mourned as the terrible tragedies they were.

All open displays of militarism should be banned from all ceremonies remembering the 18 million human beings slaughtered in WW1 and the 63 million human beings slaughtered in WWII.

On Anzac day all serving military personal should be ordered to stay at home or in their barracks to reflect in silence on the moral burden of war.

  2. I suspect that Trump doesn’t know what reality is and has no intention of learning since he is so in love with his imaginary world where facts are not required.

  3. I do not think the United States can celebrate the defeat of Nazism and Facism when it installs a dictator of their own making.
