Watching Luxon stumble over Māori in his Cabinet is glorious

The Luxon Māori Cabinet confusion moment isn’t just awkward — it raises bigger questions about leadership, awareness, and whether the Prime Minister is across his own Government.
Oh Christ this is hilarious…
Part of being a Prime Minister is knowing who is in your Cabinet.
Not just their titles — but their positions, their actions, and the consequences of both.
This is what leadership is supposed to look like
Leadership isn’t passive. It requires awareness, accountability, and the willingness to step in when things go off track.… pic.twitter.com/sH1Rnl70Rl

…it is excruciating watching him stumble through his own Cabinet, and the ‘Curb your enthusiasm’ theme song at the end am I right?
Tova’s addition to Breakfast finally gives TVNZ some teeth.
She is a killer and you need a killer in an election year.
Right after forgetting how many Māori are in his Cabinet, he then went on to forget who his two new Ministers were as well…
Watch: PM and governor-general walk past new ministers, apparently mistaking them for ushers
Governor-general Dame Cindy Kiro and Prime Minister Christopher Luxon walked past two incoming ministers on Tuesday, apparently mistaking them for Government House ushers.
Stuff
And this is what it actually looks like
…forgetting your Māori MPs, is one thing, mistaking new Ministers as Ushers is another. You can’t run a country if you can’t remember who’s helping you run it.
He’s just not very good at this, is he?
Because leadership isn’t about vibes, or slogans, or media training. It’s about knowing your team, your decisions, and your responsibilities — especially when the cameras are on.

More Luxon gaffes. He was so intent on looking at the camera, for yet another photo-shoot, that he forgot about his two new Cabinet Ministers! He had already stumbled over how many Maori he had in his cabinet, even forgetting Potaka. If I was Potaka, Butterick and Brewer, I would ‘jump ship’. To be associated with Luxon surely sullies their reputations. Luxon seriously should recognise the names and faces of all his MPs. He doesn’t have much else to do not having a ‘real portfolio’. Such a lazy, thick-skinned, narcissistic phoney!
Luxon does not look at the Maori cabinet members as Maori but just people who are fit for a role . There is no separate Maori group in National like there is in Labour
Coming from the white immigrant that you are Trevor that was fucking hilarious 😂
The whole country all witnessed a moron yet you see a king with no clothes on Trevor. Know wonder the country is fucked.
