Luxon Coup could spark snap election

A Luxon leadership coup inside National isn’t just internal drama — it could trigger a snap election in New Zealand. With polling sliding and factions circling, the risk isn’t just instability. It’s acceleration.
It’s the spilling season.
It’s the killing season.
It’s the Red Pilling treason season.
National’s faction war is now out in the open
TDB warned that with the removal of Judith Collins as a faction leader, (the faction leader who handed Luxon the leadership after she poisoned off Simon Bridges), that Luxon’s leadership would crumble as the factions attack each other.
The problem is that there are three factions. The ‘Anyone But Luxon’ faction, the ‘Anyone But Bishop’ faction and the Simeon Brown faction, which is basically just Simeon Brown.
Bless.
The current spur are private polling from inside National that is predicting 25% for National at the election. It’s being pushed by South Island electorates who are terrified of the snarling NZ First cannibalisation that is happening throughout the electorate as social media hate algorithms whip moderate conservative National voters into red pilled culture war NZ First fanatics.
The problem for National is that while Luxon has all the charisma of a road accident, changing him won’t save National because it’s their economic vandalism that is driving the resentment.
The only difference a new leader could exercise would be looking strong by attacking NZ First or ACT.
Why a coup could trigger a snap election
NZ First is hitting 15% in polls and Winston would be stupid not to seize the momentum a leadership coup provides by saying “I had a deal with Luxon, not this newbie, snap election time”.
NZ First would have the advantage and the steady rise of Gumboot Fascism would continue.
To quote Talking Heads, “Hold tight, we’re in for nasty weather”.

Luxon pulled together a disjointed party then successfully fronted a Coalition of 3 parties with their own agenda . While he is no Key or Ardern he has done what many could not .
I believe he will retain leadership get rejected and step aside after a year with a job well done.
CINDER I suggest youget next week’s Listener and read the facts about Moa Point
Trevor you get sillier by the day. If your mark of success is someone forming a coalition at the expense of wrecking the economy then you have a very low threshold.
It’s like watching a group of people fight over the top luxury penthouse in a burning building.
Not at all surprised Luxon is about to be rolled! He is vain, narcissistic and entitled – our worst PM ever who can’t think outside the square. However the three alternatives are no better with Brown, who has ‘crashed’ our health system, actually worse! The problem has always been their MP’s are there for themselves and not their party. Winston is getting away with milking it but only because the ‘willfully ignorant’ are already panicking and diving into what they believe is THEIR best option. That’s the difference between Right and Left – utter selfishness and stupidity. Bring it on. Left be ready, have some big ticket items and enough funds to pay for the clean-up of the enormous mess this failed lot will leave in their wake. Time the greedy paid their way!!!!
