Gaza‘s growing death, injury and sickness

The total numbers of killed and wounded in Gaza by Israel since 7 October 2023 are: killed 72,267 and wounded 171,976.

Since the start of the Gaza ‘ceasefire’ the Israeli Occupation has killed 793 Palestinians and injured 1,832.

The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza since 7 October 2023 is at least 80 and, that of those injured, is more than 190.

The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza since the ceasefire is at least 4 and, that of those injured, 10.

In Gaza, repeated rainstorms and a recent airstrike have destroyed and damaged shelters, as most people remain in displacement sites where living conditions are dire due to overcrowding, water and sewage accumulation, and inadequate access to basic necessities like drinking water, soap, lighting, safe cooking fuel and shelter materials.

Following a spike in skin infections, humanitarians are scaling up the distribution of hygiene kits, but there is an urgent need for pest control materials and chemicals. Read more . . .

West Bank

Since 24:00 on 7 October 2023, Israeli Occupation forces have been imposing a complete closure on the West Bank, preventing residents, as well as other permit-holders, from entering or leaving.The Israeli military also imposes severe, and highly variable, travel restrictions on all residents.

Israeli Army attack – 1 killed in refugee camp: Jerusalem – 23:00, Israeli Occupation forces, firing live ammunition, raided the Qalandiya refugee camp, shooting dead one resident, Mustafa Asaad Mustafa Hamad (aged 22).

Israeli Army attack – 2 wounded – population–control: Tulkarem – 22:30, Israeli forces opened fire, from the Annexation Wall adjacent to Baqa al-Sharqiya, wounding two people, Firas Khairi Saeed Katana and Diaa Mahmoud Fallah Sa’abna, as they were attempting to get to work across the Green Line.

Israeli settler attack – 1 wounded: Nablus – 09:45, armed Occupation settlers opened indiscriminate fire around eastern Beit Ummar village, wounding a resident: Qasim Jawad Faqih.
