Hooton calls Luxon a ‘national security threat’ who will lose National the next election

On last nights ‘The Bradbury Group’, political commentator Matthew Hooton said that Prime Minister Chris Luxon was going to lose National the 2026 election and that after his disastrous interviews on New Zealand’s position over Iran that he actually poses a ‘national security threat’.
Hooton made the comparison based on something he had read from Midnight-Oil-front-man-turned-politician, Peter Garret, who wrote in his political memoirs how he had voted against Kevin Rudd because he felt that Rudd would panic and fail under the stress of a national emergency and regarded the decision as a ‘national security threat’.
Hooton pressed the same point, that Luxon would fail under any actual emergency and that his innate weakness posed a ‘national security threat’.
