  1. The sheer hard work, dedication and professionalism of our health care workers has saved the Mini-ster’s bacon on numerous occasions. Given his obvious lack of qualifications for his job, he’s damned lucky the workforce is so brave and honest.
They make him look an ignorant twerp especially when he has the cheek to criticise them. He knows nothing and he sought to undermine them with accusations not befitting a Minister of the Crown.
That’s the tactic the right uses, if you can’t beat them, you try to make them look stupid.
Who’s going to be so silly as to give credence to the words of an unqualified nobody like Brown?
As with the rest of his amateur, unqualified colleagues, he constantly makes himself look the fool he is.

  2. @ Ian Powell. My heart goes out to you and your colleagues. [It] must feel like you’re pushing diahorrea up hill.
Having to dissect the intricacies of terminal fools is one thing but to have to dissect the intricacies of terminally greedy political fools must take frustration and suffering to a whole new level and all that on a country rich in essential resources, is 28 K sq km larger than the UK yet with only 5.3 million people. ” You can tell the young people that of today but they’ll not believe you. ” until they’re sick and dying of preventable illnesses.
This will make you feel better. ” As a New Zealand Cabinet Minister and MP, Simeon Brown’s salary was around $304,300 as of mid-2024″
For you sick people having to wait in A & E because you can’t afford a Dr much less find one not worked off their feet that’s $5851.92 a week. Plus MP kick-backs, perks and expenses of course.

  3. My young neighbour had to drive 111km to Waikato hospital to give birth .On her way she passed Te Kuiti hospital that no longer does birthing and she also had to drive passed a birthing unit in Te Awamutu which appeared to be closed .That trip takes 1 hour 20 min because the roads are shit and it would have been some what uncomfortable .
Shows how you dont count if you live more than 20 km from a major hospital .And then when you get there the service is 3rd world as above .

  4. New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani joins striking NYC nurses on the picket line

….Nearly 15,000 nurses walked off their jobs at major New York City hospitals on Monday in one of the largest health care strikes in decades. They are demanding higher pay, safer staffing levels and better security measures at hospitals.

Want to build a mass grass roots progressive movement?

Want to get rid of this Right Wing National led government?

Want a committment that we can believe in from our opposition parties to fully fund our currently underfunded public health system by taxing the rich?

Want to build stable Left unity?

Zohran Mamdani has shown us how it’s done.

Our Left leaders need to emulate Mayor Mamdani’s example, our Green, TPM and Labour Party leaders need to be seen standing united, together, on the picket lines in solidarity with our health workers

Who knows better than our health workers what is needed to fix our ailing public health system?

  5. Health has become a basket case under Brown. Thousands of health workers have fled the country and mostly immigrants are left accepting wages greater than their own countries but below average for NZ and the OECD. Poor governance from an ex airline CEO who was loathed by his employees and left a flagging airline.

  6. Being a health worker at all levels should be a passion and not a life sentence which the current inadequate funding and staff numbers have turned it into. Having muppets like the current government in charge is not going to fix anything.
