Auckland has had the Super City for more than six and half years now and for a lot of people it’s starting to feel like a sentence. It should be recalled Aucklanders were never allowed to vote on this massive amalgamation – the government just imposed it. Over time even the Auckland Council’s own polling has revealed the council has become increasingly unpopular – and mistrusted.
Alongside bribery, corruption and outright theft of Maori land, the forced payments of rates and dog taxes by local authorities in the past has left Maori dispossessed of land and economic development opportunities.

In light of the Greens’ recent ideological contortions on the subject of immigration, it is possible to interpret Metiria’s attack on NZ First as being driven by internal – not external – considerations. ACT unveils Party List
Antagonism towards NZ First is exactly what the middle class activist base want and it will make sure they turn up on election day, the problem is that Winston takes this shit personally and while exciting the base matters, burning bridges with Winston when he is likely to leap frog the Greens as the 3rd largest party means he’s going to screw them if he cuts a deal with Labour.
We refuse to look at abuse in state care because our cultural need to blame the beneficiary for being in such personal circumstances that require state intervention is what most angers muddle Nu Zilind , NOT that the state then goes onto abuse, assault and sexually molest the taken children.
