Many are saying that NZ does not understand MMP yet, and that is true, but we also do not understand the difference between parliament and the executive (Government) either.
When I found out what happened to him I wanted to tell his story. Not only because I had met him just the day before. Not only because of the shocking nature of his death, But because we wondered what drove him to such a lengths to set oneself alight on parliament grounds in protest and pure frustration. And that his story is the story of so many others in a broken Family Court System.
Never before has Labour come from 23% to be neck and neck with National. Jacinda has touched people and made them feel like they can believe again and that is a force that cannot and will not be told by rich right-wing broadcasters to go home and be quiet. Now is the time to show National that lies, deception and deceit will not be rewarded by the people of this country! Let National learn that vision, hope and compassion will always beat cynicism, corruption and venal self-interest.
In 2017, I will not tolerate any attempt to rob Maori or young people of their right to vote because of a incompetence and ignorance at our electoral booths.

O’Connor claimed that Jacinda’s tears at the suicide memorial were strange because she supports euthanasia and went as far as to suggest Jacinda’s motives were driven to exterminate voting groups who don’t support Labour.
Just writing that makes me ill.
I will not vote Labour, not even strategically to keep the National candidate out in my electorate. Why?
I have time for many MPs across the spectrum, but Coleman is someone who really tests my patience. Under his watch as Health Minister he and his Government have underfunded health by almost $2billion during their 9 years in power and it’s an underfunding that is killing some of our most vulnerable.
The dirty politics tactics of Steven Joyce who has lied about Labour’s budget is a disgrace to the credibility of the Finance Minister, the National Party and to the entire country.
