Someone in Corrections should be held accountable & punished for the callous system that allowed this young man’s death in custody in May 2017 & the coverup afterward. That’s what would happen outside prison .

I’m posting this because of all the unnecessary grief Papa Carl Perkins and his whanau went through while he was at Waikato Hospital.
I hope you are aware of Mike Treen’s ordeal. He, along with other passengers and crew on the Freedom Flotilla boat Al Awda, was hijacked in international waters and forced to go to Israel. Mike was brutally tasered, while being arrested. Why has there been no public and political outrage here in NZ? What is the matter with us?
As every major global crisis of capitalism has proven, capitalists must destroy the previous generation of sunk capital to revive profits and restore accumulation of wealth in their own pockets. Countries are laid waste, populations are wiped out in their multi-millions, and nature is sacrificed to the scramble for more carbon and more profit.
Corrections Dept negligence and the double bunking policy caused this by giving rapist & Black Power member William Katipa his opportunities . No Corrections officer has been held accountable & 50 potential further victims are not being individually notified .
