We are in unprecedented times and this represents the greatest disruption to civil society ever seen in recent modern history. 

If you are feeling frightened, anxious or depressed about the pandemic,

relax.

Those are perfectly natural & normal feelings because this is a frightening, anxious & depressing time!

The Government must put together an urgent blue sky task force of our best economists and economic thinkers to generate ideas, and they must do it now.

Level 3 needs to be adopted today so that Level 4 will be acceptable before Friday so we avoid ‘Level 5’.

As we stare down the barrel of an enormous shockwave to our economy, culture and public health, what did the NZ Intelligence agencies know and when did they know?

In the frightening weeks and months to come, when Government has to make very hard calls, I am deeply grateful that she is the one sitting at the top of the table making the final call.

In the shadow of the pandemic, Abortion was finally made legal in NZ.

We should applaud her courage, this is an extraordinary decision made at a time of immense danger to the country.  

I appreciate I’ve been a bit of an outlier on this pandemic and from the beginning was warning this had all the ingredients of a public health crisis and economic meltdown.
