  1. No. After the multiple arsons of churches in Masterton, I wouldn’t recommend any burning. Bottom line is Golriz, alas, is the author of her own misfortune.

    1. So it’s ok to commit a crime because why? You just got righteous about Golriz so why the double standard?

    2. There’s often a lot more to these stories than gets reported in the media.
      People don’t just wake up in the morning and decide they are going to burn down a church, or ram a police car.
      All the surveillance in the world, won’t stop people doing the wrong thing, but does increase the chances for later consequences.

  2. I thought Foodstuffs North Island was a different company though linked business, to Foodstuffs South Island. If so, it is time for them to differentiate themselves from each other or poison the whole brand.

For those of us who are too cautious to steal, I suggest making Privacy Act requests to Pakkers (direct it to the national organization) for any surveillance footage or other private data they hold on you. It will cost them more money than scanning some avocados as onions, and is the opposite of illegal.

Shows the quality of the imported security guards being hired by these so called security companies .Do pack and slave even check if they have NZ qualifications .I would not be surprised if they are working for a family owned company and being charged for the job on a daily basis and then paid $5 per hour .

    1. The family connection may be so with a local NWS, the mall it occupies, and the security guards used.

  5. This clearly demonstrates why supermarkets should not have facial recoy tech. Privacy Commission needs to step up and ban it.
