How is this not monstrous premeditated assault?
If I doused some of the business people responsible for this obscenity, with a bucket of cold water, or with a garden hose, I would be charged with assault.
In my opinion, these business people’s actions are worse, than if I doused them with cold water, at least they could go home and change into nice dry clothes. They wouldn’t have to spend the night out in cold wet clothes.
How is it OK for these business people to assault the vulnerable and homeless in this manner and not face charges?
I can remember a time when there were no homeless or beggars on the streets of New Zealand’s cities. And it wasn’t because legal prohibitions, or hostile retaliatory actions of the wealthy.
Are we so far down the neo-liberal road that we will accept the normalisation of this sort of inhumanity?
Yep Pat that was during the halcyon days of our “shared wealth” doubted “egalitarian” time of our wonderful warm country that I remember as I was sent to Turangi after my compulsory Military training and turangi was like a summer camp working for (MOW) Ministry of Works to help building a large Dam and poower scheme that was going to make us one of the cheapest power consumers in the world.
Yes these were the good times of the 1950/1960’s that I lved so dearly when you could walk out of your front door never thinking to lock the door as crime was not known about as everyone had a job and somewhere to live.
Boy have we slid down the gurgler with the rip shit and bust Governments that have committed high crimes against the people inocent Kiwi people now.
100% well said Pat. This is how low and callous NZ has become. Shameful!
