  1. If mr hoskins continues to ask for trouble with far right wing rants then maybe some day ‘trouble’ may pay him a visit. If someone in a position of mainstream media continues to push an agenda at some stage people may have to push back.

  2. Hosking who?

What happened of that TREATY of Waitangi, I wonder, what happened to the “bicultural” society and partnership that was once so much talked about?

Oh yes, it has gone under, vanished from the political discussion landscape, as government and most in opposition now only talk of multiculturalism and diversity in New Zealand.

While migrants that commit to the future of this country deserve to be welcomed and respected, we have had the Maori aspirations of past decades undermined and destroyed by more divide and rule. Go and look at the employment scene, and how locals are forced to compete with many endless streams of ever so many new, additional migrants, some from comparatively poor countries, prepared to make endless concessions and to work for less than the minimum wage.

Often it is their own compatriots from their nations of origin that came here to run businesses, who exploit them.

I wonder how that fits together with any idea and principles of the Treaty now?

It will be interesting to see how Mr Key will be received in Waitangi this year, and how the MSM will report on it.

The well to do and wannabe middle class suburban dwellers will again join the ranks, and rely on their mostly white, middle class graduate journalists in suit and ties, or a neat dress, well made up faces and a smile, who report about those “nasty” brown and some other protestors who dare to “disturb the peace” in this oh so “peaceful” and “egalitatarian” nation, where we are supposed to all be friends and work together in total harmony.

Any true dissent will be ridiculed, minimised, or if too extreme whipped up with catchy headlines for those who cherish right wing or redneck thinking, so the few that speak out will again be marginalised, isolated and mostly ignored.

Nothing new is to be expected, and Hosking has in expected fashion rung in the lines of comments that are the same stuff every year.

    1. Your duffle headed extremities is beyond reasoning…But then you tend to waffle without reasoning.
You have set the Maori people as an indegious species that don’t have rights.
You look at us as a species of our mother land.
You reep justice because you endevour to devour our rights
It’s a format of life.We the people of Nz are a humble and caring lot.
It takes GREED to desercrate what we have. TAKE NOTE.!! We the people of our mother land..You will endevour her anger.!!!

      1. Hey bruh. What’s the point in saying all that if an increasing number of Maori, well over half, can’t even afford to eat in restaurants they fought so hard to eat in, when struggling for equal rights.

That was Martin Luther Kings unfinished business. After fighting for equal rights. He famously said (I’m paraphrasing here) what’s the point in fighting for the right to eat in this resturauant and equal rights. If my people can’t even afford to eat in here.

That wasn’t just a black issue, economic equality is an every body issue.

When half of all New Zealanders spend 100% of there income, that creates a weak economy, not mobile enough to introduce new technology of government programs ect.

And the things the TPP will lock in will widen the inequality gap, put huge monopoly powers into a handful of insiders and there companies.

        This is an everybody issue

      2. I am afraid you may have not properly understood my comment. If you read it carefully, it should make sense and not cause you much offence, if any at all.

  3. unfortunately for them most people who listen to Mike Hosking are not the powerful they just want to be. So they look at Mike as someone who, through his endeavours got to be well off aka John Key. They see the way to get to wealth and power is to ape the people who do well. If you want to stop this, people need to really know how they got to the top of their particular tree – good luck telling those stories!

  4. I never listen to anything that Hosking has to say. Having said that I could not give a toss about Waitangi Day either.

  5. Hosking says says it’s an “annual ritual of abuse, anger and ignorance.”
He argues that Ngapuhi elder Kingi Taurua is a broken record who “drums up the same c**p every year”.
He says the media shouldn’t be reporting on Taurua’s antics as it’s “attention seeking”.

It’s just Hosking talking at the mirror – his annual ritual of abuse, anger and ignorance, being a broken record drumming up the same crap again this year, doing his usual attention seeking.

  6. Hoskins is more than likely a right wing tory who probably knows very little about NZ History, he was brought up white middle class Christchurch boy who probably has only met Maori socially in media circles.

He needs to educate himself and stop parroting racist crap, he needs to open the other eye, and put his brain into gear before he opens his mouth

  7. Just another episode of New Zealand’s biggest dickhead on air preaching to the ignorant, the stupid, and to his vast imaginary horde of admirers who think he is some sort of intellect authority on everything.

  9. I don’t think his academic achievements and level of inellect are that great, I think he just slipped his way up the media bean pole talking s***e?
