Winston Peters comes close to endorsing US capture of Venezuela’s ‘terrorist’ leader
The state of international relations means it is the most “difficult, complex and challenging times” in the last 80 years, Foreign Minister Winston Peters told Parliament on Tuesday.
“Of course we believe in multilateralism, of course we believe in the rule of law. But I want to remind some people … that for the rule of law to operate properly … it has to be enforced,” he said.
Peters went on to talk about the backlash against US forces capturing Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro earlier this month. No one complained when former President Joe Biden’s administration offered a US$25 million reward for information that would lead Maduro’s arrest, he said.
“When Joe Biden said that, none of these people said a word. Not a mutter, not a murmur, not a syllable, not a sound – until somebody else did it. You see that kind of politics? Their politics is hypocritical and extreme. It’s not consistent.”
He went on to condemn Maduro, labelling him a “terrorist” and “appalling for his own people”.

First off, Maduro is nothing like Peters is making him out to be. Peters is a lair, aka, a consummate politician. Second, sucking US d!ick is what all Western politicians eventually become very adept at doing. It is a surprise that people find this to be a surprise. Finally, there is no international law. There is is only empire law. The world is a jungle, and the USA and its cubs, the UK and Israel, is the only Lion within it.
