  1. As well as proving the Peter Principle our track demonstrates the folly of electing those with a carefully and expensively curated image and who possess little substance.

    1. Speaking of substance, it would be nice to see more behind this below

“Labour will build an economy that works for everyone – by backing the skills and talent of New Zealanders, creating better, higher-paid jobs, and giving young people the chance to build their futures here at home instead of feeling forced to leave,” Barbara Edmonds said.

Meanwhile, Luxon is painting tax and borrowing as bad while cementing into voters minds how bad Labour and their potential partners would be.

      Side note
Tax and borrowing isn’t necessarily bad. It’s more about the intent and effective deployment of said funds.

“We know what the Labour prescription will be – but a capital gains tax, a wealth tax, an inheritance tax, a death tax, all we know is it’s going to be more tax, more borrowing, and when you look at a coalition of Labour, Te Pāti Māori and the Greens that’s pretty economically dysfunctional.”

So get out there Labour and defend yourselves

  2. With Luxon still fully supporting (thus further enabling) Nicola Willis, how long will it be before people start calling for Luxon to also stepdown?

At a media briefing on Friday, Luxon threw his full backing behind Willis to carry on as minister of economic growth, saying “I don’t think there’s a single New Zealander that could do a better job than Nicola Willis. Nicola Willis is the best finance minister New Zealand’s ever going to have”

    1. The Chairman “Nicola Willis is the best Finance Minister New Zealand is ever going to have.” OMG, did he really say that ? Historically, eunuchs have often been useful power wielders, but Luxon’s certainly not one of them with such seemingly infantile vision.
