All in all, TDB gives punters a very, very, very wide space to comment in but we won’t bother with out right lies or gleeful malice. We leave that to the Herald comment section.

Is this yet a new way for government mps not to do their job, and somehow pass it round to the others, yet the MPs still get a good income? Meanwhile so much of the Departmental work is done at a full arm and a half’s distance – and now select committees are conferring on laws that have been passed without proper scrutiny. The ‘adults’ can go on a cruise and like some recent leisure makers, pick up a RSV whatever that is but it makes you cough a lot. Let them all catch it.
