  1. We tend to be price takers don’t we? At least in the agricultural sector. Which means that we must conform with the requirements and practices of our major markets. The EEC has quite strict requirements, as the poms found out after brexit. They have to conform to those requirements if they want to export to Europe whether they belong to the club or not. So if our practices don’t conform, they’ll take the excuse to stop us exporting, particularly as their own agricultural sectors are heavily subsidised and quite powerful. Doesn’t look good.
