The current National, ACT, NZF Government made grand claims during the election that $250 fortnightly tax cuts and a $75 per week FamilyBoost payment for child care would help those whanau doing it tough.
The reality has not lived up to the hype.
NZCTU released data last week highlighting that as few as 50 families gained the $250 tax cut per fortnight and because of its complexity, only 249 families received the full $75 child care payment.
For those whanau needing $250 in tax cuts per fortnight or $75 weekly for childcare and who voted National based on the headlines, the reality of the pittance they get will feel like a kick in the face!
The deceptive manner in which National promoted these policies as if everyone would be getting these payments only makes voters feel more bitter and resentful.
As the economy tanks and we borrow billions for tax cuts we can’t afford, our public services are stripped bare and incapable of performing the basics.
It doesn’t have to be this way.
Poverty and inequality is a political choice, we choose not to tax the mega wealthy and the consequence of that choice is what we are currently harvesting.
By misleading voters, National use big promises that the small print never deliver.
This Government takes from today what tomorrow never brings.
Suckers are getting what they voted for .This government hates you if you are working poor .But self and race got in your way of voting for best person or policy .We had a caring LEADER but the hate and lies of the self centered racists and ferals made her realise NZ did not deserve her so she did the right thing and left NZ to destroy its self .
We have become a nation of hate filled entitled racist non thinkers who only care for ME .
I am beginning to think politicians do not always tell the truth.

This shows the utter absurdity and deceit that we ‘labour’ under from our neoliberal gummints (with ever bigger holes). When one comm co in NZ advertised itself airily about being there for all NZs, it was taken to Court for being a lot of hot air. But what recourse have we to hold these slippery b…s to account, make them do their job in a manner reflecting their acceptance of their duty, integrity and determination.
The government can slide away from lies as a matter of course. Is it a case of ‘poachers gone up a level and become gamekeepers’ or the reverse? I think that the dodgy gamekeepers have become really blatant and have turned outright poachers; smile and give us the finger. Democracy has certain guidelines that can be flexible, but the flexibility has been seized on as an ‘open-sesame’ as the toffs view the well-paid and perksfull positions as an Aladdins Cave. The wealthy can trash us and the planet and the financial system, so warped that it won’t fit into a normal bank vault, and revert to gold which was up to $3,500 an oz.
More lies have been exposed let’s hope all the opposition parties are doing their homework cause come the next election we need to get rid of the COC divisive parasite ruining our county.
