Merciless blitz on defenceless Gaza — growing numbers of dead and injured

24 killed — 55 wounded
Since dawn, Israeli air strikes and gunfire on homes as well as medical and other facilities resulted in the deaths of 24 residents and the wounding of 55 others. The total number killed in Gaza, since 7 October 2023, is at least 50,423 with the total wounded at least 114,638. The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza since 7 October, 2023 is at least 92 and, that of those injured, is more than 211.
Israeli attack on UNRWA clinic kills 22 people, including newborn baby
An Israeli attack on a UN medical facility killed dozens of people, including a newborn baby, in the north of Gaza on Wednesday as Israel continues its renewed assault on the devastated Palestinian enclave.
At least 22 civilians were killed in the Israeli strike, which targeted a facility run by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), the Gaza Government Media Office said.
A newborn baby was beheaded as a result the attack. A horrific video showed a man holding the body of the baby outside the Indonesian hospital in Beit Lahia after the attack.
The strike also caused a fire in the building, which was sheltering displaced families who were fleeing Israeli bombardment after their homes were destroyed.
“The targeting of a medical clinic belonging to a UN agency constitutes a full-fledged war crime that requires urgent international accountability”.
West Bank
Palestinian Monitoring Group — Since midnight on 07 October 2023, Occupation forces have been imposing a complete closure around the whole of the West Bank, preventing people (even including permit-holders) from entering both Jerusalem City as well as Israel, other than for especially-negotiated exceptions. Permanent military checkpoints impose severe travel restrictions within the Occupied West Bank.
Israeli Army attack – 1 wounded: Jerusalem – 00:35, Israeli Occupation forces opened fire on a man, Osama Shaher Al-Aqraa, at the Qalandiya military checkpoint, wounding and hospitalising him.
Israeli Army attack – refugee camp: Jenin – Israeli forces, firing live ammunition, continue storming the city and the refugee camp.
Israeli Army attack: Jenin – 18:00-21:45, the Israeli Army, firing live ammunition, stormed the town of Ya’bad.
Israeli Army attack – home invasions – robbery – 10 taken prisoner: Tulkarem – Israeli troops, continuing their storming of the city as well as the Tulkarem and Nour Shams refugee camps, invaded homes and robbed one householder, Nader Muhammad Tayeh Atta, of cash from his home. Ten other residents were taken prisoner.
Israeli Army attack in support of raiding settlers – youngster wounded – child abducted: Nablus – 17:15-21:00, Israeli settlers, supported by Occupation forces , invading Duma village, set fire to two houses, one livestock shelter and five motor vehicles. The Israeli Army opened fire at people trying to resist the attack, wounding a 16-year-old youth, Abdul Rahman Amjad Shalabi, as well as two other people: Ibrahim Fathi Dawabsheh and Azhar Najeh Dawabsheh. The Israeli Army also abducted a 15-year-old boy: Omar Sanobar.
Israeli Army attack – 1 wounded – 1 taken prisoner: Nablus – 19:40–03:40, the Israeli military, firing live ammunition while raiding the town of Beit Furik, wounded one resident and took prisoner one other.
Israeli Army attack – 1 killed – 1 injured: Nablus – 00:45–07:15, Israeli soldiers stormed the city, shooting and killing one resident, Hamza Muhammad Saeed Khammash, and injuring one other,Alaa Najeh Abu Shaheen, by running over him with a military vehicle.
Home invasions and population–control: Jerusalem – morning, Israeli Occupation forces raided the town of Anata and invaded five homes, ordering one resident, Daniel Qasim Samih Al-Rifai, to report for interrogation at Israeli Military Intelligence.
Home invasions: Nablus – 20:30–23:30, Israeli forces raided the village of Zawata and searched two houses.
Israeli Army destruction – pastoral and other economic sabotage: Jerusalem – 11:00, Israeli Occupation forces demolished a stable and a number of livestock shelters, in the Abu Hindi area, as well as bulldozing a fence surrounding agricultural land. The Occupation also issued an order, for the owners of a car–wash facility to demolish the business within 48 hours.
Israeli Army abduction: Jericho – 21:55, Israeli forces at the al-Karamah “Allenby” Crossing abducted a 16– year–old youth, as well as taking prisoner his elder brother.
Occupation settler terrorism: Tubas – 13:00, Israeli Occupation settlers invaded the al- Farisiya area, patrolling and terrorising people, as they moved between and around homes.
Occupation settler violence and Israeli Army complicity: Jericho – 16:35, Israeli forces took prisoner three people trying to defend themselves, and the rest of the Bedouin community in the al-Auja spring area, from invading Occupation settlers who were preventing residents from both obtaining drinking water for themselves as well as watering their livestock. The settlers also pepper-sprayed picnicking residents.
Occupation settler agricultural sabotage: Hebron – 10:25, Israeli settlers bulldozed crops, near the town of al-Shuyukh.
Occupation settler land-grab: Hebron – 15:00, raiding Israelis, from the Bnei Hefer Occupation settlement, near Bani Na’im, bulldozed and seized land, setting up camp on it.
Occupation settler racist vandalism: Hebron – 19:00, Occupation settlers invaded the Khallet al-Farah area and sprayed racist, hate messages on the walls of people‘s homes.
