Antivaxxers are fanatics without conscience, morality or decency. They are so desperate to prove their bullshit fantasies are real, they would desecrate the grief of a family to gain publicity.
Antivaxxers have been ostracised by polite company and because their fetishised misunderstandings of science have alienated them from family, friends and workmates, they are fixated on attempting to prove their anti-vaccination dogma, to the point they would wilfully do something as inappropriate as this!
Efeso was one of my oldest friends. Watching anti vaxxers try to turn his death into evidence for their warped and sad worldview is stomach churning.
Fia deserves respect, their daughters mana demands it and the memory of Efeso himself requires it.

In a similar vein, after my FIL died of cancer, some cruel person told my MIL that the morphine he had in the terminal stage would have brought on death sooner. She asked me if it was true. FFS, what was he supposed to do? Just suffer in agony for a few extra days?
They disbelieve what the rest of us can see and believe what the rest of us can’t see. ‘Special’ people.
That is one of the major reasons they go their way, to feel distinctive and important, when they haven’t achieved that.
Maybe Shane Christie should consider if CTE has got to him early. It would be interesting to see statistically how myocarditis incidents, as a percentage, compare across all that are vaccinated versus those that played representative rugby.
Unvaccinated people spread infections that threaten whole populations.

During the period when the anti-vaxers carnival arrived in Wellington and their rapidly degenerating encampment briefly turned the capital into a city with two Zoo’s ,,,,. and in short order the Parliament and Rail-station end of town became infested with brave groups of ‘traffic island apes’,, who intimidated and harassed schoolgirls and other pedestrians ,,, by loudly heckling and shouting at them to ‘get ya f-ing masks off”, and other such things ,,
., On their first day in town a car full of creeps threw eggs at a schoolgirl entering a supermarket near Parliament, because she too was upsetting them by wearing a face mask.
Then we had the deluded Destiny Church dimwits as part of the circus,, This cult believes feminism and homosexuality caused the Christchurch earthquakes,,, and cult leader brian has them using the gang tactics of violence and stand-overs to enforce his backwards anti-science views…
So it is clear that authoritarianism, compulsion and threats were part of the anti-vax movement despite them supposedly protesting against just that.
The percentage of people who believe that All Blacks and rugby players are magically gifted to offer qualified medical diagnosis and advice is hopefully very small ,,,, But It does make me wonder if Shane Christie is a member of Destiny Church, for him to behave like such a conceited ugly moronic arsehole. …

Vile behaviour indeed. Anti Vaxxers are pretty much unreachable, but the unfortunate thing is they can have a nasty effect on the rest of us if herd immunity levels drop.
This is being demonstrated in the US right now with once eradicated Measles making a comeback and causing havoc due to fall off in immunisation rates after COVID.
This whole incident was very sad. Shane Christi is not a well man, that’s pretty sad too. Looks like he has been left high and dry after becoming seriously unwell ( brain damaged) by his successful career in NZ’s lauded sports. He has been captured by the antivax ideology so this is probably his flawed way of being significant (again). Efeso would only have had compassion for this man, so easy to hate on in these circumstances. Just really fuckin sad. Glad to see beautiful support for Fia, Efeso’s wife at this awful time.
I was told yesterday that the covid vaccine causes cancer .My reply to that is so does alcohol and smoking along with half of the food you eat every day .I recently had a lot of tests done on my heart and I was informed my heart and vascular system is in pristene condition .I have had six doses of the covid vaccine .
There are many causes of heart disease so this nut job needs to go home and study up on heart disease .
