Trump pardoning Insurrectionists from his own insurrection is dark and you MAGA apologists know it

We knew it was going to be bad, but sweet Jesus he pardoned all of the insurrectionists from the insurrection that he inspired…

Trump ends all January 6 cases with pardons, commutations and dismissals

In one fell swoop, President Donald Trump ended all of the nearly 1,600 cases stemming from the January 6 US Capitol attack.

He signed a proclamation Monday pardoning nearly all 1,270 people convicted in the January 6 attack, directing the Justice Department to drop about 300 pending cases, and ordering the release of a small group of 14 other defendants who were charged in the most serious sedition cases. (Trump misspoke earlier tonight when he said the pardon would cover about 1,500 people.)

These actions go farther than many — including Trump’s own advisers and GOP allies — were expecting. Vice President JD Vance and House Speaker Mike Johnson said in recent days that Trump should only pardon nonviolent offenders.

But the proclamation he signed, granting a “full, complete and unconditional pardon,” covers roughly 600 people with felony convictions for assaulting police officers or impeding police during a riot.

That group includes convicted rioters like Julian Khater, who assaulted US Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick and later pled guilty to assaulting officers with a dangerous weapon; Devlyn Thompson, who hit a police officer with a metal baton; and Robert Palmer, a Florida man who attacked police with a fire extinguisher, a wooden plank and a pole.

Trump commuted the sentences for 14 of far-right extremists from the Oath Keepers and Proud Boys who were convicted or charged with seditious conspiracy. The commutation will pave the way for their imminent release from prison, though the clemency isn’t as far-reaching as a pardon.

The order also directs the US attorney general to dismiss all pending cases, which would cover about 300 cases that are still pending in court.

…even the white supremacists and far right extremists who used violence have all been pardoned.

For an insurrection he himself started.

FFS.

If you are still being an apologist to this kind of abuse of power, you are the threat to democracy, not us.

Attempting to compare this to Biden’s last minute Pardons is as credible as comparing the violence of Hamas to the violence of the IDF and pretending that is comparable.

Trump pardoning Insurrectionists from his own insurrection is a dark day for Democracy and you MAGA apologists know it, and in a terribly sick way, celebrate it.

  1. Well, I must admit, that Trump supporters can be really, bloody inept at times. Why? Because none of them, none of em brought a bloody firearm to the so-called insurrection! Still, we believe the insurrection narrative that our morally proficient politicians and their MSM echo chambers have spun, nonetheless.

  2. Praise God! The roughly 1,500 patriots who were wrongfully arrested and persecuted by Sleepy Joe’s corrupt administration have been set free!

The beacon of light shines strongly over President Donald Trump’s life, as his unwavering courage and righteous leadership led him to grant these brave men and women the pardons they deserve.

These American patriots stood against injustice on January 6, fighting for truth in the face of lies and deception, especially those spread by the mainstream media. Today, all patriots need to rejoice in their release, for righteousness will always prevail!

As the Word of God says, ‘For the Lord is righteous, he loves justice; the upright will see his face.’ (Psalm 11:7)

This is a testament that God’s hand is at work, and the forces of darkness will never silence those who stand for freedom. Glory to God, and blessings upon all who remain steadfast in the fight for truth!

  3. This is very bad shit, Trump’s action however may not be popular with some Police Dept.s, I say some because various US Police precincts are virtually proud boys in uniform.

Hope enough people hang on to vote in the mid terms, though those non MAGAs wealthy enough to leave may well do so. The USA is now officially an authoritarian country.

  4. The rule of law is so politicized in the USA. While Trump pardons these “insurgents” Biden preemptively pardons his whole regime and family from prosecution.
    The smell of corruption lingers.

    • We don’t agree on a number of things, but on this we do 100%.

“The issuance of these pardons should not be mistaken as an acknowledgment that they engaged in any wrongdoing, nor should acceptance be misconstrued as an admission of guilt for any offense,” Biden said in a statement on the pardons.”

What an unmitigated load of horse shit.

  5. So we are ignoring that the outgoing President pardoned his family and a number of political ‘friends’ who apparently ‘committed no crime’?

    • Correct and you would too when the incoming president stated the retribution he will inflict will destroy the Biden family and his support. Meanwhile Trump frees rapists, white supremacists and murderers.
And your only go to is to attack someone who has pardoned some who have not been sent to prison?

Are you married to Zelda because she’s bat shit crazy?

  6. It’s a pardonfest, Joe was super busy pardoning all manner of people before he left, from the incarcerated to the innocent apparently (i.e. family, those who aren’t guilty of anything but need protection just in case). Why didn’t Joe free these people at the start of his presidency? It just looks like a grotesque publicity stunt.

    • Hope they investigate Trumps Sumpreme court judges, you know “Rules for me AND for thee.”
Your first post is factually incorrect and you know it.

        • A list of breach cases during the January 6 United States Capitol attack in 2021 is being kept updated by the US Attorney’s Office, District of Columbia.[1] BuzzFeed has a searchable table of the plea deals.[2]

By February 1, 2021, 228 people from 39 U.S. states and the District of Columbia (D.C.) had been charged with federal or D.C. offences or both.[3] By early September, there were over 600 federal defendants, 10% of whom had pled guilty.[4] By October 13, there were 100 guilty pleas.[2] By the second anniversary of the attack, nearly 1,000 people had been federally charged.[5] By August 2024, more than 1,400 people have been charged with federal crimes related to the attack and over 900 of them have been convicted.[6]

Now I know you’re a bit slow on the uptake but the word ” insurrection” covers a rebellion or revolt against an established government or governing authority of a nation state or other political entity by a group of its citizens or subjects.

Now show me your evidence no one was charged?

  7. Lets face it the USA is the corrupt Roman empire on steroids.
Now let’s sit back and watch the dumb supremacists run riot after all most of them are only have an educated age of a 10 to 13 year old according to recent published research.
Hell even our 10 to 13 year olds are better educated than an average USA adult.
The Usa is a corrupt failed state.

  8. Zelda will you stop telling people I have anything to do with this!
I gave you bastards freewill. If you use it to fuck yourselves that is your problem!

  9. Trump is the most corrupt and incompetent President of the US ever – this includes a litany of morons since Carter (Reagan, Bush 1 & 2, Clinton). The average American voter has doomed the USA to rapid decline. Not long now before Trump announces that Russia, Iran, and North Korea are now USA’s allies and all else are enemies … this has started by his constant undermining of current allies (especially Canada and UK). But he does know how to sack people on TV shows!

  10. Open season in the US – just wear your American flag and MAGA hat and go full send. Wait for the blowback from Antifa. The place is going to riot and burn – again.
