Announce protest actions, general chit chat or give your opinion on issues we haven’t covered for the day.

The Editor doesn’t moderate this blog,  3 volunteers do, they are very lenient to provide you a free speech space but if it’s just deranged abuse or putting words in bloggers mouths to have a pointless argument, we don’t bother publishing.

All in all, TDB gives punters a very, very, very wide space to comment in but we won’t bother with out right lies or gleeful malice. We leave that to the Herald comment section.

EDITORS NOTE: – By the way, here’s a list of shit that will get your comment dumped. Sexist abuse, homophobic abuse, racist abuse, anti-muslim abuse, transphobic abuse, Chemtrails, 9/11 truthers, Qanon lunacy, climate deniers, anti-fluoride fanatics, anti-vaxxer lunatics, 5G conspiracy theories, the virus is a bioweapon, some weird Blshit about the UN taking over the world  and ANYONE that links to fucking infowar.

  1. What on earth are ex-MP’s doing allegedly shoplifting from Pak’n’Save ? MP’s are destined to pilfer from more upmarket high-end sort of shops, not places where the plebs go thinking that everything only costs $5.00.

Or did a pollie unused to shopping for itself, think that packing oneself extends to helping oneself? If they’re no good at shoplifting, perhaps they should be back in Parliament and paying a minion to do the tiresome things which normal people cope after a hard days work before going home to peel the carrots and parsnips, gutting the whitebait, whipping up tomorrow’s school lunches, supervising homework, trying to find missing socks and having a mini-stroke over the electricity bill.

  2. Looks like NZ Post is dumb as well as age-ist and hating it’s customers. Declining delivery of mail to senders who don’t include an existing PO Box number as well as a physical address is very tough on the senior parcel posters who mightn’t know how to ascertain a Box number, or have no internet access to find out. With the days of free telephone books with white and yellow pages a dim memory back in the mists of time, there could be more pressies and Christmas cards being returned to sender.

Already the immigrant on his motorbike riding carelessly over curbs and berm frontings seems numerically challenged, or thinks that it’s fun to delivery mail randomly. It can be fun for a recipient as well, but not if it’s a bill that doesn’t arrive in the right letterbox, and the power company threatens to cut the electricity, or worries some dear little old lady with a pesky phone call.

Hopeless, ruthless, trying to slash their sorters’ wages bill, or all three ? Who knows ?

Why the emphasis on ex-MP? Why not just a shoplifter?
You just cannot resist the impulse to kick someone when they are down and helpless can you? That thrill of knowing you can inflict pain without any fear of retaliation. The true mark of a beneficiary bashing, refugee hating, bully – loving redneck named after an imported weed.

Maybe Golriz is not the only person who needs psychiatric help.
Also it is an ex-MP not ex-MP’s (correctly ex-MPs).

    • FYO. The first reports of this alleged shoplifter had name suppression. It should have stayed that way.
If it’s Golriz again, then she probably does need help. Yep, apostrophe typos can be a bit of a bother can’t they, and I suggest that you go easy with that herbicide, it could damage you too.

    • Cool it man or woman! We can’t afford to go up in flames on first impressions. There are so many truly inflammatory things going on. Could disagree shortly and politely with background plainly made. Thinx – we need to practice the art of disagreeing and defending as an example to war mongers around the world; start locally and spread it globally.
