  1. Hi I’m Porkie Jones Minister of Greenwashing.
    ONE EV BULLDOZER !
From Oceana own words at the Macrae’s strip mine …

” With the expanding footprint of the mine, we are collecting additional water and a lot of this water cannot be discharged ”

Cyanide, sulphates, nitrates, erosion, competing with farmers and people with water pumped from the Taieri;  NB. nearly 1 ton of CO2 is emitted per ounce of gold produced. One EV !

“Water is becoming a scarcer and more valued commodity. Looking forward, we are likely to face changes in rainfall .. ” We already have to stop when the Taieri is too low…

And after the degradation only the royalty of 2% of the NET sales revenue of the gold obtained remains.
    Delaying extinction !

  2. Oh Granny what big teeth you have..

A stalking wolf wants to eat the girl and the food in the basket. After he enquires as to where she is going, she tells him. He suggests that she pick some flowers as a present for her grandmother, which she does. As she does so, he goes to the grandmother’s house and gains entry by pretending to be Riding Hood. He swallows the grandmother whole (or, in some versions, he locks her in the closet) and waits for the girl, disguised as the grandmother.

When Little Red Riding Hood arrives, she notices the strange appearance of her “grandmother”. She exclaims, “What a deep voice you have!” “The better to greet you with”, responds the wolf “Goodness, what big eyes you have!” “The better to see you with”, responds the wolf. “And what big hands you have!” “The better to embrace you with”, responds the wolf. “What a big mouth you have!” “The better to eat you with!”, he responds, at which point the wolf jumps out of the bed and eats her as well. Then he falls asleep. In Charles Perrault’s version of the story, the first to be published, the tale ends here.
This is an analogy of NZ/AO as we are going…and going. We are innocents compared to the money merchants and are being gobbled up by their management PMCs and world-wide ambitions.

This Anzac Day can we learn from Red Riding Hood as if she became aware of her danger, then we can be aware, sceptical and prudent and save many and defend from the worst. Or as in this version, do we get eaten by Mr Creosote at leisure – bye bye NZ/AO! People from other countries come here, like being here, because there are still good things going but soon advertisements will blazon – be quick for the bargains, stock is limited. Disaster tourism is in – come and gawp!
