When Chris Bishop is more liked than the PM, you know you have a cult of personality with no personality

After the Roy Morgan Poll showed an enormous drop in right/wrong track polling

The Roy Morgan monthly survey of voters about which political parties they would vote for and whether they think the nation and the Government are on the ‘right track’ or ‘wrong track’ shows a 17 percentage point collapse in the March survey’s Government Confidence Rating, which is derived the from its ‘right track/wrong track’ question. It was a bigger one-month fall than in any one of the months of late 2021 during the Auckland covid lockdowns.

…National have been served another humiliation with Luxon tanking in the latest Taxpayer’s Union polling, so much so that Chris bloody Bishop is now more popular than him…

PM Christopher Luxon’s net favourability rating in the poll fell another two points to a record-low minus seven percent, which puts him behind Chris Bishop1

…Bishop has all the personal charm and warmth of a car accident, that his sweaty meaty forehead is MORE popular than Luxon should scare the bejesus out of National Party insiders.

When a shit sandwich is more popular than what you are serving on the menu, get out of the kitchen.

If this level of support keeps melting, by the end of the year, cancer will be more popular than Christopher Luxon.

  1. The right wing Coalition is honoring their election pledges, they are moving fast getting things done, which is exciting following 6 years of hand sitting.

      • Wheel, look, it wouldn’t matter what National promised or dint promise Bob is so retarded his naivety exceeds his stupidity.
This governments corruption knows no bounds.

          • Your weakness is when you put your fingers on the keyboard Bob.
Don’t be flattered as I’m just aping your stupidity.
The fact you see it as a compliment shows how retarded you really are.

    • More bullshit Trev, Nicola is going to borrow big time so she doesn’t have to resign. She said 6-7% job losses for state servants when the cuts are much deeper. She is fucken liar and she’s is destroying Wellington and our country. Police aren’t happy they have finally realised the CoCs don’t care about them despite claiming to be the parties to restore justice and get us back on track, take our country back is all just a load of crap.

  2. Just because John Key liked Luxon doesn’t mean that other people have to. Key liked all sorts of odd things.

    • There is a story to the effect that Luxon lost his hair to Key in a Faustian bargain for leadership of National. Key keeps it in a private drawer, and, from time to time, strokes it, with a strange smile.

      • But Luxon might have shaved it off to be on the safe side. One of Ted Bundy’s victims escaped with her life when her hat was removed and he saw that she had cropped hair.

  3. At least they are getting caught and hopefully put away . Police are raiding gang pads and arresting them for traffic offenses which did not happen under Labour

  4. Key and Jacinda made politicians into popularity figures but it was not always so and in Jacinda’s case it did not mean for a great country .Her replacement suffered rejection because he had no personality.

    • In Keys case he physically abused a waitress, you missed that one eh Trev? Selective you seem to be.

  5. Bishop is living proof that any fool can get a law degree…

It’s got to be one of the most over rated and, at $800 an hour, over priced professions going…and there’s no real responsibility..
They can fuck up and then just say…oh well ..we lost ..that’s just the way it goes.

Compare that to the much harder professions with huge responsibilities and consequences for mistakes such as Civil Engineering $ 400 per hour, Doctors,
Surgeons, Airline Pilots and it’s easy to see who the greedy ones are.

If you had to put one word up to describe Bishop, Luxon and those they support it would be ‘greedy’!

    When you lokk at

    • I suspect you have no idea at all what the professions listed by you actually earn. The hierarchy you list is fair. Your assumption that your hierarchy does not reflect real income is bizarre. Perhaps keep your opinions to yourself or do some research in future.

      • Please enlighten us Ennius, rather than posting us your opinions, do some research yourself and debunk Grants post, otherwise keep your opinions to yourself because you come across as stupid.

  6. Wow, the look on Luxon’s face on discovering he’s less popular than a cigarette butt.
But make no mistake, Cigarette Butt Man knows he’s not popular either. As popular as second-hand smoke.
They both know they are completely out of their depth, both promoted well beyond their abilities and it shows.

    • Bishop is simply young and foolish. He has to be, to have worked for a tobacco company known to have added extra nicotine to cigarettes in order to get smokers addicted. He seems to me to still be using undergrad debating tactics where the object is to win, and “ truths” can be created, and which can be great fun. I did it myself, but this is not what parliamentary democracy should be about.

Luxon’s juvenile smiles and smirks in Parliament are also alienating, and the lack of gravitas generally is irksome, and not confined to National. But their lack of social responsibility is alarming, and favouring the “ haves” at the expense of the “ have-nots” a neo-lib tactic which is clearly amoral, and probably part of a divide -and- rule agenda, whatever they may say otherwise.

  7. Here is a song dedicated to our desire for a good leader which obviously we won’t ever get from Gnational. The Hollow Man/Woman. is all we get there, all the way down the ladder and list.

But Labour is no better – we won’t ever be healed from our aching desire; Soon as forever is through – ‘I’ll Be Over You.’ We need obviously to climb, look, higher, take umbrellas, high-viz gear. the journey will be no picnic.

(Hello Bob the 1st et Al and concreted Labour supporters – please turn up as we need regularity in our lives, reliability and dedication like yours. You are an example to us all.)

Toto do ‘I’ll be Over You’ – a lovely number from a roof, Beatles-like. Ir may be uplifting.
