Restrictions of movement: Palestinians in the Occupied West Bank, East Jerusalem and Gaza are under relentless and extreme control over all travel and movement.
Gaza Strip
Armed Palestinian Resistance: Palestinian Resistance continued launching dozens of missiles towards the Green Line.
Air strikes: Heavy aerial bombardment on buildings, homes and many facilities.
Victims:
Since the start in October of the Israeli war on Gaza the number of people killed has risen to 18,800 (18,800 children and 6,200 women). The number of wounded currently amounts to more than 51,000. Accurate statistics are not available due to the lack of security and population control around hospitals in the Gaza Strip).
Attacks: All over Gaza, there are air strikes, heavy gunfire, tank and artillery shelling, as well as missiles fired from Israeli forces and military occupation, especially in Khan Yunis. The Israeli Navycontinues to fire missiles, targeting facilities and buildings along the shoreline of the whole of Gaza.
Israeli Occupation forces continued to invade and position themselves inside the Gaza Valley – Juhor al-Dik, reaching the neighbourhoods of Sheikh Ajlin, Tal al-Hawa, al-Zaytoun, and al-Sabra, south of Gaza City, and controlling the Salah al-Din and al-Rashid roads.
Also under attack:
The Shujaiyeh neighbourhood, east of Gaza City, taking control of Salah al-Din Street in the centre of Gaza City, accompanied by gunfire, tank and artillery shells, and intense aerial bombardment, towards buildings, facilities, and people’s’ homes.
The al-Qarara area, north–east of the city of Khan Yunis, reaching Salah al-Din Road, and the Mills Junction, which is the area separating the central and Khan Yunis governorates, reaching the Western Satar area. Khan Yunis, Abasan al-Jadida, Bani Suhaila, and Abasan al-Kabira, east of the city of Khan Yunis, accompanied by heavy gunfire, tank and artillery missiles plus aerial bombardment of homes and property.
Two women killed in cold blood outside Gaza church
Pope Francis deplores the Israeli terrorism. An elderly mother and her daughter were shot dead by an Israeli soldier on the grounds of a Catholic church in Gaza City, the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem has said. Pope Francis on Sunday deplored the killings, suggesting Israel was using “terrorism” tactics in Gaza. “Unarmed civilians are the objects of bombings and shootings. And this happened even inside the Holy Family parish complex, where there are no terrorists, but families, children, people who are sick or disabled, nuns.” “Some would say ‘It is war. It is terrorism.’ Yes, it is war. It is terrorism,” he said.
West Bank
Air strike on home – 4 killed – 5 wounded – child injured inside ambulance – home invasions: Tulkarem – 22:05, Israeli Occupation forces, firing live ammunition, stormed into the city as well as the Nur Shams and Tulkarem refugee camps, invading homes and carrying out a drone–launched air strike on one home. A 17-year-old youth, Ayser Bilal Abu Salah, and four other people, Ghaith Yasser Raja Shehadeh, Walid Abdel Razzaq Asaad Zahra, Asaad Fathi Asaad Zahra and Jihad Hatem Youssef Amarneh, were killed in the Israeli attack. Occupation forces obstructed ambulances from entering the refugee camps and injured a child and a health volunteer inside one of them.
Israeli Army attack – youngster shot dead – 2 people wounded: Ramallah – 21:20–01:40, Israeli Occupation forces stormed into the village of Deir Ammar, killing a 16-year-old youth, Atallah Ziyad Badha and wounding two other people: Ali Sami Nakhleh and Muhammad Shawar.
Israeli Army attack – resident shot and killed: Tulkarem – 11:05, Israeli forces, at a gate on the Annexation Wall near Deir al-Ghousoun, shot and killed a man: Salim Nasser Salim Hajar.
Israeli Army attack – youngster wounded: Tulkarem – 18:05, the Israeli Army, firing live ammunition, stormed into Zeita, wounding a 15-year-old boy: Osama Muhammad Fathi Numan.
Israeli Army attack – 1 killed: Hebron – 17:30, Israeli troops, firing live ammunition, stormed into Beit Ummar, killing one person: Aziz Abdul Rahim Aziz Akhil.
Israeli Army attack – 1 wounded in refugee camp: Hebron – 02:10, the Israeli military stormed into the al-Aroub refugee camp, wounding one person, Mahmoud Abu Sal, and taking prisoner three other people.
Death: Jenin – 01:50, a Jenin resident, Laith Raed Abu Nimr, has now died from wounds sustained during an Israeli Army attack on the city and the refugee camp on 14 December.
Home invasions – stun grenades – 1 taken prisoner: Nablus – 14:10, Israeli Occupation forces, firing stun grenades and tear gas canisters, raided Burin village, invaded a number of homes and took prisoner one resident.
Home invasion – armed robbery: Bethlehem – dawn, Israeli forces raided the village of Harmala, invaded a house and stole a motor vehicle.
Israeli Army armed robbery – agricultural sabotage: Tubas – Israeli soldiers robbed a farmer of his tractor while he was working on his land, in the Humsa al-Fawqa area of the North Jordan Valley.
Israeli Army armed robbery: Bethlehem – dawn, Israeli troops, in al-Khadr, robbed a man, Ismail Khalil Al-Zeer, of his motor vehicle.
Occupation settler violence and agricultural sabotage: Qalqiliya – afternoon, Israeli Occupation settlers raided Kafr Thulth farmland and stoned olive harvesters, injuring two of them: Hamed Ibrahim Radi and his brother, Mohammed.
Occupation settler violence and vandalism: Jericho – Israelis, from the Mevo’ot Yericho Occupation settlement, assaulted two people at a Bedouin–gathering, west of Jericho, and damaged a home.
Raid – 2 taken prisoner: Ramallah – 23:10, Israeli Occupation forces raided suburbs in the city, taking prisoner two people.
