Announce protest actions, general chit chat or give your opinion on issues we haven’t covered for the day.

The Editor doesn’t moderate this blog,  3 volunteers do, they are very lenient to provide you a free speech space but if it’s just deranged abuse or putting words in bloggers mouths to have a pointless argument, we don’t bother publishing.

EDITORS NOTE: – By the way, here’s a list of shit that will get your comment dumped. Sexist language, homophobic language, racist language, anti-muslim hate, transphobic language, Chemtrails, 9/11 truthers, Qanon lunacy, climate deniers, anti-fluoride fanatics, anti-vaxxer lunatics, 5G conspiracy theories, the virus is a bioweapon, some weird bullshit about the UN taking over the world  and ANYONE that links to fucking infowar.

  1. This is today’s Joint statement from the PMs of Australia, Canada and NZ on the situation in Gaza/Israel:

I put it here for reference, since in looking around the various outlets, it’s being cut up and rearranged and efforts made to reinterpret it, already. The BBC, for example, despite being pro-palestinian plight in their reporting for weeks, have tried to make it entirely supportive of Israel. Which it obviously isn’t.

Here is the statement on the same situation on the MFAT site:

It differs considerably and may just be an issue of lack of updating. Both versions have obvious problems recognising present reality.

I also read Chris Hipkins says there should be an immediate ceasefire without any pre-conditions – a very risky political move. Maybe he just wants to retire and read his books. I was surprised to see condemnation of Hamas, and the mention of acts that pro-Palestinian spectators regard as unsubstantiated, but don’t take any encouragement in it. It’s such a word salad that whatever anyone thinks it means, it doesn’t. The part just after Israel’s right to defend itself is particularly confusing – it both reiterates and contradicts the obvious for reasons no one knows. In our part of the world it’s just a war of words that mean things nothing to do with the conflict itself.

This political/economic regime is supposed to be encouraging business and personal striving. But it that is a farce and actually enables big business and utilising the passive base of consumers that ratepayers and taxpayers are in being attached to their appropriate governing bodies whose tasks are being tendered out to whoever has the best spiel. offer and brown paper emoluments. Meanwhile the country’s economic life languishes bleeding from numerous wounds; we are becoming haemophiliacs.
