02 November 2023 {Main source of statistics: Palestinian Monitoring Group (PMG):

https://www.nad.ps/en/violations-reports/daily-report NB:The period covered by this newsletter is taken from the PMG’s 24-hour sitrep ending 8am the day after the above date.}

We shall always do our best to verify the accuracy of all items in these IOP newsletters/reports wherever possible [e.g. we often suspect that names of people and places that we see in the PMG sitreps could be typos; also the translation into English seems rather odd ~ but sincewe, sadly, do not speak Arabic, we have no alternative but to copy and paste these names from the PMG sitreps!] – please forgive us for any errors or omissions – Leslie and Marian.

Dear Friends,

We are so sorry that we have to, reluctantly, cease editing the translations we use of the Palestinian Monitoring Group (PMG) daily reports into English. A combination of the unforeseen scale of growth in attacks and population-control by Israel in the West Bank, on top of the genocidal tragedy Israel has unleashed upon the Gaza Strip is resulting in a constant build-up of PMG reports that we may never be able catch up on.

Therefore, with that and other difficulties, we shall straight away post this latest, partly-edited, report. From then onwards, we intend to catch up by posting remaining, as well as future, reports as unedited (by us) translations.

With sincere apologies for this drop in our standards!

Leslie and Marian

Leslie Bravery is a Londoner with vivid World War Two memories of the Nazi blitz on his home town. In 1947/1948 His father explained to him what was happening to the Palestinians thus: “Any ideology or political movement that creates refugees in the process of realising its ambitions must be inhuman and should be opposed and condemned as unacceptable.” What followed confirmed this assessment of the Zionist entity a hundredfold. Now a retired flamenco guitarist, with a lifelong interest in the tragedy of what happened to the Palestinian people, he tries to publicise their plight. Because the daily injustices they suffer barely get a mention in the mainstream news media, Leslie edits/compiles a daily newsletter, In Occupied Palestine, for the Palestine Human Rights Campaign. These days, to preserve his sanity, he enjoys taking part in a drama group whenever possible!
