The violence meted out by Hamas was calculated to inspire a rage retaliation from Israel that will trip the West Bank and Hezbollah.
The difference between Hamas and the IDF is that the IDF has obligations as a State in terms of its use of violence, where as Hamas is a terrorist organisation whose resistance has breached resistance and deformed itself into naked malice.
Israel with its group punishment of Gaza, it’s cutting off of power, water and food, it’s 17 year illegal blockade and it’s indiscriminate bombing campaign are all technical breaches of conduct during conflict already
By refusing Palestinian aspiration, Israel has paid the highest price for their illegal occupation and their rage will not pause.
At this stage Israel are incapable of restraining their need for revenge, when the IDF force their way into Gaza, while telling the most densely packed open prison one earth to run with no where to run to, the civilian casualty rate will jump into the thousands.
As each obscene act of violence is met by another obscene act of violence, the invasion of Gaza will be a self mutilating wound that can only escalate.
Image what happens when Hamas start live streaming the torture and murder of hostages?
Imagine what happens when the IDF move their tanks in.
Imagine what happens when the West Bank erupts and the Lebanon front erupts?
America has moved two carrier strike forces into the area and the escalation from Gaza to the regional proxy war is far closer than we are currently calculating.
The only way out is an immediate ceasefire, the immediate release of hostages and an immediate summit to discuss a real plan for Palestinian aspiration and a two state solution.
If that path towards de-escalation is not sought now, the war crimes about to be committed could combine to cause an explosion of violence we can’t recover from.
This age old hatred has the capacity to engulf us all.

Stuff.co yesterday reported that President Biden had achieved a limited supply of aid to allowed into Gaza, but that the aid trucks could not move until “potholes” in the road are fixed.
Today Stuff.co. say the trucks with aid cannot enter Gaza because of “craters” in the road caused by Israeli airstrikes.
Stuff.co.nz lied about the cause for the aid being held up.

After Israel warned in a leaflet drop. that all “known Shelters” would not be safe from their attacks, and that all hospitals in Northern Gaza and all civilians must evacuate to Southern Gaza, which Israel declared as a “Safe Zone”. Numerous verified reports are coming in of Israel heavily bombing this “Safe Zone” including the only exit from Gaza in the South, the Rafah crossing causing the so called “potholes” Stuff.co.nz used as an excuse for the aid being held up.
The Israelis lied about Southern Gaza being a “Safe Zone”.
Despite Israel threatening that Gazan hospitals wouldn’t be safe if they weren’t evacuated.
Despite the fact that the Gaza Baptist hospital had been damaged in a previous Israeli airstrike two days before.
Despite the fact that the Israelis bombed a nearby UN school being used as a shelter two hours before.
Despite all these lies. President Biden is asking the Arab world to believe him, when he says that Israel didn’t bomb the Baptist hospital in Gaza.
The one promise the US and Israel have made to the Palestinians that they have kept, is that we will take over your land and drive you out.

New Zealand could file a claim at the International Court of Justice under the Genocide Convention. That’s what we can do.
This country’s internationally recognised team of lawyers are already in the Hague to hear the accusations of genocide made by Russia against Ukraine. This hearing has come to an end.

We the undersigned, call on the outgoing Minister of Foreign Affairs Nanaia Mahuta to direct this country’s legal team in the Hague to lodge a formal complaint of a breach of the 1948 Convention on the prevention and punishment of the act of genocide by the State of Israel being committed against the people of Gaza.
For many years before 1948 there was destabilisation of the Palestinian Arab population carried out by Zionist paramiltary gangs who massacred and terrorised Arab communities with impunity.
In the final year before the establishment of Israel over 13,000 Palestinian Arab men, women and children were tortured, raped and executed in a programme of ethnic cleansing that precluded the forced displacement at gunpoint of over 750,000 Palestinian Arab refugees to Lebanon, Jordan and Gaza with no right of return.
This is known as the Nakba (the Palestinian Catastrophe).
Instead of including all Palestinians in a country for all, Zionism and its exclusionary ideology has created the opposite which was their goal.
The cataclysmic destruction of Gaza could escalate into a catastrophe for Israel, the region and inevitably the world especially with the appalling standard of leadership prevailing in the West.
Committing atrocities on a people who have suffered and keep suffering is a shocking indictment on all Western countries who are complicit by their silence in a despicable show of racism and cowardice.
