  1. Making sure of a Labour defeat.

    Hipkins is at it again.

    The Right understand it.

If you want your side to win, you have to vote for the periphery.

With the election hanging on a knife edge the Right understand that to tip the balance in their favour, they have to hold their noses and vote for the Far Right.

On the other side of the aisle, a Labour led government is guaranteed if the Maori Party sweep the Maori seats.

Chris Hipkins is doing his best to make sure that doesn’t happen.

Hipkins is doing his best to make damned sure that he will never be in a room where he has to negotiate coalition terms with the Maori Party.
Hipkins is determined to prevent this outcome, even if it means National wins the election.

The Labour Party’s reasoning, (as it has been for a long time), is that it is better to keep control of the losing side, than lose control of the winning side. But this time the stakes are higher than they have ever been. Keeping control of the losing side, means delivering the country into the hands of the most extreme far right government in a generation, possibly ever.

Keeping control of the losing side, means that ACT will finally be in the position to complete, what ACT Party founder Roger Douglas called their ‘Unfinished Business’.

The tax cuts followed by budget cuts and austerity proposed by National in coalition with ACT, will devastate Maori, Pacifica and working class Pakeha. The Labour Party logic here is that this will drive these voters back to Labour in a landslide in 2026, devastating the parties to the Left of Labour.

The question is: Can the country afford this sort of tweedle dum, tweedle dee bullshit any more, especially when tweedle dee is a cut throat assassin.
