Announce protest actions, general chit chat or give your opinion on issues we haven’t covered for the day.

The Editor doesn’t moderate this blog,  3 volunteers do, they are very lenient to provide you a free speech space but if it’s just deranged abuse or putting words in bloggers mouths to have a pointless argument, we don’t bother publishing.

EDITORS NOTE: – By the way, here’s a list of shit that will get your comment dumped. Sexist language, homophobic language, racist language, anti-muslim hate, transphobic language, Chemtrails, 9/11 truthers, Qanon lunacy, climate deniers, anti-fluoride fanatics, anti-vaxxer lunatics, 5G conspiracy theories, the virus is a bioweapon, some weird bullshit about the UN taking over the world  and ANYONE that links to fucking infowar.

  1. The French are going off in Paris, again!
Remember what was happening in France, Gemany, Hungary, Poland etc.. Before the covid lock downs!?

Will they invent another pandemic again to shut down this European Social Change Movement before it catches on in the West again like it did before covid and lockdowns?

With less than two days before the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) meets for its most significant meeting, member states are already showing signs of a major divide on the level of ambition needed to align the shipping industry with the Paris Agreement goal of keeping global warming below 1.5 degrees.

Almost a dozen Pacific islands (6PAC Plus), including the Solomon Islands, Kiribati, the Marshall Islands,Tuvalu, Nauru, Vanuatu, Fiji, Samoa and Tonga, this week made calls at the IMO’s Intersessional Working Group on Reduction of GHG Emissions from Ships (ISWG-GHG 15) to steer the shipping industry on a clear path to climate action.

This is good from the Pacific Island states banding together for good effect. I think shipping is going to become our most used overseas transport option (despite all the airport expenditure we are being weighed down with). What arena are we in – the Pacific (peaceful) or the tenacious colonial western bunch? Going backwards in time while forging towards an uncertain future? Wrong! The future is certain for those who care to pay attention.

What a Wonderful World Louis Armstrong (especially the line about saying I love you. It doesn’t need to be mushy, just respectful and having some care for the other.)
