MEDIAWATCH: Alexei Sayle reminds the Left what activism looks like and who the enemy really is

I love how he opens the doco, “I’m doing this doco because my career is over and I don’t care’.

He reminds us that to be anti-establishment means to challenge the establishment and reminds us the enemy are the banks and the rich.

He delves into the terrible way Jeremy Corbyn  was smeared as antisemitic so that his campaign against the powerful and wealthy interests he challenged could poison his work.

His doco was just banned at Glastonbury as the same antisemitic tactics used against Roger Waters is expanded to Sayle

Glastonbury Cancels Screening Of ‘Oh, Jeremy Corbyn, The Big Lie’ Doc After Jewish Groups Accuse Film Of Pushing Antisemitic Conspiracy Theory

Glastonbury Festival has removed documentary Oh, Jeremy Corbyn, The Big Lie from its film program after Jewish groups accused it of putting forward an antisemitic conspiracy theory around why the politician never rose to the position of UK prime minister.

The move, which has prompted a counter backlash from supporters of Corbyn, comes just six years after the politician was given a rock star’s welcome at the festival when he addressed a 50,000-strong crowd in 2017.

The documentary, produced by activist London-based production house Platform Films, was due to screen in Glastonbury’s Pilton Palais cinema tent as part of a line-up also featuring The Super Mario Bros. Movie and Spider-Man: Across The Spider Verse as well as classics such as Withnail And I.

…this follows on from Al Jazeera’s damning documentary into how Corbyn was undermined and framed as an antisemite by the Zionist Apartheid Israeli supporters who falsified and lied about the level of antisemitism inside Labour to destroy Corbyn.

Just pointing this out is now antisemitic!

Corbin was always a left wing Populist threat to the UK establishment and his pro Palestinian stance terrified the Zionist Apartheid Israeli supporters so he had to be destroyed by Starmer.

This antisemite game is one played all the time to silence any criticism of Zionist Apartheid Israels brutal and illegal occupation of the Palestinian people.

Starmer’s Labour UK Stasi outed anyone who supported Corbyn by playing woke identity politics cancellation Lynch mobs.

The same tactics being used against an artist like Roger Waters and comedians like Alexei Sayle need to be resisted because they are the ones challenging Israel’s brutal occupation of Palestine, they are not being antisemitic.

Increasingly having independent opinion in a mainstream media environment which mostly echo one another has become more important than ever, so if you value having an independent voice – please donate here.

  1. Martyn – I have watched his documentary, starts off well, then puts the boot into the State of Israel…messy thinking

    • Yes, indeed.
It will be useful if those who argue Palestinians are good and Israel is bad would share their thoughts on the solutions available to deal with these issues.

Outrage without action stays outrage. Sympathy will always lean towards the oppressed until it is perceived that the underdog has become the oppressor. Space and time is important considerations when reviewing history.

    • The zionist entity will never be a state. The human population of Palestine has the right to live in all of Palestine, and the zionists who invaded their nation and poisoned their wells with typhus (admitted even by zionist historian Benny Morris) and threw their children into ovens, as they did in Deir Yassin and so many other human cities and towns they ethnically cleansed of their legitimate occupants, are just going to have to take their changes.

  2. Notice the use of that C.I.A. favourite: “conspiracy theorist”. That ill-defined term, thrown around to smear any critics as paranoid and literally mad, and which barely anyone ever used — that is, until it was widely promoted to editors in the press corps, via a C.I.A. directive entitled “Countering Criticism of the Warren Report” (issued April 1st, 1967; declassified and publicly available since 1996).

But you’re only a “conspiracy theorist” if you’re against the U.S. war machine and its financiers on Wall Street.

Nobody refers to George W. Bush this way, even though his administration pushed ludicrous “theories” of an Iraqi plot to blow up the entire world, and vast underground military bases in the Tora Bora. Nobody speaks of Adam Schiff or any of the other discredited Russiagate grifters in such terms either, nor all the people that lied about what was going on during the regime change operations in Libya and Syria.

        • “Conspiracy theories pre-date the American republic”.. Absolutely right, and now that the USA has imposed itself upon the world as its Sherriff, they are at the center of most modern conspiracy theories… And your point was? Is it “revisionist”. or just modern reality?, as opposed to ancient history that is..

          • What was once accurately termed ‘political paranoia’, or a ‘paranoid style of politics’, would only be widely stigmatised using this phrase after the collapse of McCarthyism at the end of the 1950s, after being first popularised by Karl Popper in 1949 (see the new Routledge book by Katharina Thalmann, University of Tübingen). The first known usage of ‘conspiracy theorist’ was in 1961 (see Merriam-Webster); more literal uses of ‘conspiracy theory’ began to appear in 1863 (see N.Y. Times).

Stella Moranbito, a retired C.I.A. intelligence analyst and propaganda researcher, believes the frequent use of the term as “a knee-jerk label intended to discredit thoughtful investigation” didn’t reach fever pitch until even later — only after the 1977 N.Y. Times article which first revealed the ‘Countering Criticisms memo’. Arguably it was worse again after 2001, and perhaps peaked after 2016, culminating in the rise of mass internet censorship.

  3. Our enemy is the establishment, spearheaded by the bankers and the world’s wealthiest few, who then co-opt government and other official bodies into doing their bidding, while also using the establishment-owned mainstream media machine to push their initiatives and hide their misdeeds. This is our enemy.

  4. I think ‘revisionist historian’ sounds like a cliche IED handy to throw at someone which creates a fog of conflicting ideas; what do we get then – smog. Better not to use it I think. Garden of Eden is similar; to take it further who is the snake in that scenario?

  5. Key labelled Hager a conspiracy theorist to discount his “Dirty Politics” revelations, seemed to manage to net the police in too; ditto Kellie-Jay Keen’s giving women voices was smeared as anti-transgender activism and unleashed senseless hatred and violence against women. Bill English did the same demonising all our young guys in order to import cheap immigrant Labour; Davidson’s endless vilification of white cisgender males seems to be based in racism and Greens also seem irrationally ageist too – “experience doesn’t count”, “ ok boomer”, “ old white men”.

  6. The Guardian newspaper sure took its clothes off and exposed its chardonnay pickled establishment bones by its participation in Corbyn’s crucifixion.

  7. Hello John got a new motor? I loved him as the Balowski family, love Alexei more for his principled stance on Zionism.

  8. ‘Woke’ is nebulous, like Trump using both ‘Fascist’ and ‘Communist’ in his criticism of his opponents. The smug smile on his face when he did it — his dim followers chugg it down.

Corbyn is a grandee of the people and it did expose who were on the side of them.

Israel was a conquest, but worse than us, an ideology of conquest into the modern age.

They disprove the idealism produced by WW ll. That idealism liberated most conquered countries and so, so much more — produced the decades of the common people in developed countries.

  9. Lexi top man….and unlike the rest of the hip groovy 80s comedians(yes ben elton I’m looking at you–great writer but snivelling yes man) Lexi has stuck to his guns

  10. Just a tactic to end a word with phobic to give a slur to use for anyone questioning anything to do with Islam (Islamaphobic), Homosexuality (Homophobic), Trans (Transphobic)…
