Machete grievous bodily harm, racist baby attacks & murder on sacred ground: How to stop feral animals despoiling our own mana?

69

A vile human being who would cause grievous bodily harm to a worker at a dairy by slicing off fingers with a machete during a violent robbery.

An 18 year old piece of shit that would assault a baby because they are a different race.

Murdering someone on Church grounds.

All three events occurred last week in a surge of violent crime the barbarity of which made us all gasp.

Let us be clear, people who slice fingers off, bash babies and murder on sacred ground are feral animals.

These are actions of the damned and their violence shocks us, shames us and makes us incandescent with righteous rage over the injustice of their malice.

Our challenge dear Comrades, fellow citizens, whanau and readers is how we stop these feral animals robbing us of our mana and dignity by turning us into the baying crowd of a Lynch mob.

This unique universal experience of Covid has shell shocked us all.

It has thrown the normalcy of life out and shaken everyone in society.  Generations who have lived if not the majority of their lives in economic plenty, then all of it were suddenly confronted with threat and disruption.

It has had an impact on all of us in different ways and we all sacrificed differently.

Those who enjoyed working from home had time to think if the rat race was really what they wanted to spend their lives doing.

Quiet quitting became the rage and life balance meant demanding no more time at the job in a market where some workers get to call the shots because bosses simply can’t bring in cheaper migrant labour and lower wages over a closed border.

For those with property and a good job, this has been a wonderful chance to reconnect with your own middle class mindfulness and paywalled VIVA subscription.

For renters, the essential workers who kept the system from falling over, the stressed out teachers, nurses, drs, police, beneficiaries, the working poor, children already damaged by the state, pensioners and first time home buyers however, Covid and the geopolitical shockwaves it has caused have manifested in food insecurity, a cost of living crisis that is pushing people over the edge and a level of paranoia in public debate that makes Trump look reasonable.

The shockwaves of the sacrifices we all made for Covid are exploding in a billion different ways through different segments of our economically gated communities and as awful as this is, I fear dear Comrades much worse is coming.

The economic anxieties that are driving violence will only get worse as the recession comes on.

This surge in vile crime by feral animals is an indication of how intense the economic pain now is, these feral animals aren’t born, they are nurtured.

The bleeding gums of our inequality are exposed and won’t be ignored any longer.

These feral scum who have committed these terrible crimes last week will be hunted down by the NZ Police force, they will be caught, and they will feel New Zealand justice.

They will be given legal rights, legal protections and they will receive a level of mercy they didn’t show their victims, and that is a justice that we can all be proud of.

We must not allow ourselves to become spooked or so angry with these feral animals that we become the tools of the mob when it cries out to do away with our mercy and simply seek punishment and suffering as a response.

What we are seeing is a multi faceted class and culture problem erupting across our country. Exploited Indian and Chinese migrant workers in Dairies targeted by resentfully violent Pacific and Māori youth while middle class Pakeha and upper class Asian-NZers demand their sense of safety is protected by a Police force that is under immense stress.

At some point, either Winston, Luxon or David Seymour will demand Police carry guns at all time and one of the sub 5% crazy anti-vax Parties will call for the death penalty and end up with a surprising 3.5% in the polls.

We are ripe to have our anger exploited by those whose get tough win crime mantra only serve to make things worse, not better.

Our challenge as citizens is to not allow the hate of their brutality to warp our decency.

We must not allow the violence of feral animals destroy the good in us.

      • Well there will be. Are you trying to say there will be no consequences in the three examples Martyn has raised? That would be utter bollocks

        • they just let off a meth smuggler bnecause of the effect imprisonment would have on his children….sorry YOU inflicted that pain on your kids by your actions not the state…your kids suffer because YOU are a criminal.

so the baby attacker will probably go down and rightly too but the macete guy probably ‘has had a hard life’ so should get home detention is way it works in NZ

        • Sorry, I didn’t think I needed to add #Hyperbole, but will try to tailor the message towards a less sophisticated audience in future.
In case you don’t understand hyperbole, I was using exaggeration to highlight that the consequences for these people’s atrocities are far from what most people would consider commensurate.
There needs to be outcomes that are meaningful and in the extreme guarantee no more harm can be done .
A good start would to ban all violent offenders from accessing the welfare system and especially egregious offenders such as William Bell should be permanently banished to an otherwise unpopulated island with no chance of return.

          • So people who point out your ZB like ability to distort reality are “less sophisticated”? Trouble is there are plenty of people out there that, based on a small number of examples, think what you are saying is accurate.

As for ‘ measures that guarantee no more harm can be done’ give me a break. States with the death penalty still have to kill people so I don’t think there are measures that stop all harm.

            • youth is on these criminals’ side. It’s up to the judge to balance protecting the community and the individual. It is highly likely that anyone who murders babies and slices fingers or whatever had an awful upbringing. If you don’t want the villain to reform themselves then we will all lose.

  1. This sounds like a paean for the status quo, a status quo which isn’t working for dairy workers, owners of shops, South Auckland church goers, kids waiting at bus interchanges in Christchurch and Lower Hutt, etc. All for retaining high standards of procedural justice, human rights; but the showing mercy to these ferals, is the bit that needs tweaking, imho.

    • @ Houtman Abrolhos
I suggest a MAJOR tweaking… as in … ditch the entire status quo

Next year vote anybody else but National, Labour, ACT Greens and Winston First

Throw caution out the window, face our fears and do it anyway

    • Church people should understand mercy because that is God’s way to save us. While love is not guaranteed to work showing anger towards those who offend is only going to perpetuate the anti-social actions & even make it worse. This does not mean that there should not be punishment (which varies with the offense & the probability of rehabilitation) but we don’t want those doing the punishing to become worse than the offenders.

      • eye for an eye is from the big black dusty book….the thing about the bible is you can find a quote to support YOUR PERSONAL PREJUDICE whatever that may be…except abortion not a word on that only a recepie for a potion to bring one on…go figure

  2. The Police always seem to be armed around our neighborhood, we pretty much have a defacto armed Police force here and it certainly doesn’t make me feel safer, to have such poorly trained people wandering around with assault weapons and a licence to kill.

  3. In Sydney atm with wife and kids. First trip out of the country since Covidcult. The gap between Australia and our country has widened to a chasm. Australia still has a tough on crime mantra. While it does not fix their crime it hasn’t blown out of control like at home.

There is no silver bullet here however there needs to be consequences to behaviour. Everywhere in the world where there has been a “go soft on crime” approach there has been an explosion of crime – it didn’t work elsewhere yet we deliberately adopted it post the handbrake being removed. We actively recruited a police commissioner that favoured this approach and put in place ministers (Williams, Davis and Allen) that actively embrace this approach.

The genie is out of the bottle – it won’t go back in. Ever. And will only get worse next year during the recession.

    • What do you base that Frank? Your gut feel of actual stats? I would say there has been a number of stories to indicate that crime is an issue in Aus as well.

The 501s coming here make it clear they cut their teeth in a pretty violent societal setting

    • Did you miss the events in Queensland? Crime is going down, it is just that the media make a bigger thing of it now over here.

        • Carl Sagan said, ”
“But I try not to think with my gut. If I’m serious about understanding the world, thinking with anything besides my brain, as tempting as that might be, is likely to get me into trouble.” Frank- take note.

    • Not a lot of emperical evidence to support your thesis unfortunately Frank. If punishment was the solution to crime, America would be a crime free paradise and we all know it is not. But I agree, the genie is out of the bottle and probably not going back in. The rising number of young people who see joining a gang as some form of social aspiration is equally as staggering as it is depressing. The ones I have heard being interviewed can barely string a sentence together and I guess many of them are struggling with foetal alcohol syndrome or the effects of exposure to meth through their pregnant mothers. I had a bit to do with an organisation helping at risk youth some time back and the level of abuse and straight out violence in a lot of these kids lives was next level frightening. It’s clearly going to take more than the criminal justice system to turn this around.

      • how about we get tough on drunks who murder people with cars? 1st offence lifetime ban(but whaaa whaaa I need a car, don’t care) driving whilst disqualified instant prison no argument) if severe laws change behavior then the road toll should be down to zero quick smart.
cue chouus of why drink driving isn’t serious bbuuttttt I needed to get my wife to hospital–your fault for being a dangerous drunk….don’t look at us, you did it to yourself…the only safe reading is zero….same goes for drugged drivers…
how do the ‘tough on crime’ brigade respond to that?

    • Frank did you miss the home invasion the other day in south Australia. Unfortunately its the way of the world at the moment.

  4. Sadly all this violence is killing the good in us.
We exist amongst fear daily. It’s not a normal condition to be in.
I don’t know what the answer is to lessen down this problem we have in our society.
People seem to have stopped caring about each other.
    Very sad indeed.

  5. Well, deporting a fuck tonne of colonists would be a start. The foreign mass murderer in the South Island, the foreign murderer in Auckland this week. And foreign slumlords, they can get deported too.

  6. The ferals reflect all of us. How we treat our weakest members, etc.

“They will be given legal rights, legal protections and they will receive a level of mercy they didn’t show their victims”, are we so sure? Also this week: police corruption, and breaking internal and international law to double jeopardy 501s. Who are the real ferals?

  7. I doubt that they will feel NZ justice as the judges are on the side of the criminals. As many discounts as possible to leave the victims victimised again by the system.

  8. Their model is the Detroit Model: asset strip and send all the jobs to foreign sweatshops, enjoy the new growth industries of slumlording, sub-prime loans and private prisons — and then ‘solve crime’ by getting into the business of police department sales of surplus military hardware.

The press barons and broadcasting moguls are continuing to cover up what is going on.

That great tradition of labour movement newspapers, radio and television needs to be revived. Look at all the provinces that no longer have a local TV station or talk radio station. The community should ‘take over’ some of these defunct ones.

  9. This is just the start. Things are gonna get way way worse yet

Meghan Woods told electricity companies that low user rates must end and that those rates must rise 500% (or was it 600%?) in the next few years : power bills for the vulnerable will go through the roof, poverty will increase exponentially along with anger especially when we see power companies profits soar to new heights.

And that’s just one facet to consider

The games rigged: the politicians keep helping their rich mates get more money in return for perks the poor get shat on again and again

I look forward to when looting supermarkets becomes the new norm and trashing your local power companies office is reality. Bastards deserve it

    • So you don’t want psychopaths within your society. Ok, so stop the right wing from manufacturing them then. Two things. Vote and strike. Two other things. Voting isn’t mandated so that’s out and the neoliberal sadists who’ve manufactured street level psychopaths wiped out unionism along with their communities to enable now nine multi billionaires who sell your shit for their fortune building then there’s them four foreign owned banskters stealing billions of dollars in net profits by scamming dopes into debt on $5 dollar houses. So, I guess we’re fucked then.
Re Tweedle Castro and Tweedle x etc x. Things are ‘gonna’ are they ? Have you met @ castro? the racist dickhead above who fucks by the tonne. Y’awl gonna fuck by the tonne are y,awl? You gonna fuck-tonne it all an’ that? You gonna get down and do some fuck tonnin’. Gonna get all fucked up then y’awl gonna get down to business and do some fucking by the tonne? Well, you boys go off and do that with each other in the bushes. Knock yourselves out. Hopefully literally.
‘Idiocracy’. A film for the moronic masses who will think it’s a documentary.
Meet Joe Bauers, dipshits. Ba ha ! I wrote ‘dipshits’ ! I’ll be writin’ fucktards next.
      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Idiocracy

  10. I still think one more hug and they’ll stop raping and pillaging.

Well, i would if i was a green or labour supporter and had no intelligence

  11. Surely the question as to why these ‘feral’ people are among us must be asked.
What went wrong with the upbringing of these people when children?
Can we fix this it never happens for todays young?

  12. The public would be calmer if these ferals, even children, when caught are handed sentences that reflect the full force of the law rather than just a wet bus ticket. Or taken home to be loose the next night…

  13. ” Let us be clear, people who slice fingers off, bash babies and murder on sacred ground are feral animals.”
    Are they now…
I think it’s more about 38 years of neoliberal Greed Is Good vomited up by right wingers and their moronic followers, or perhaps more correctly, power-fetishist psychopaths who , in the process have dehumanised many others.
It’s their brainless bile that oozes out of our msm, and now here, that’s the problem. Not, the victims of that. When someone commits a hideous criminal act against another there are two victims involved, remember that.
By the way. I know a lot of animals and I can say with some qualification that none of them behave as insanely as a growing number of humans do. That’s why I live in the country.

    • Where do you hear right wingers? I have been looking for a right wing source, but can’t find one.
ALL i can find is left wing media, yet you think these people are ram raiding and murdering because they heard a right winger speak?
Insane. Go vote for the greens and get my tax money for you next meth hit, you feral

      • Because you are blinded by Mike Hosking to believe the media is left wing. Actually you’re just another right wing feral.

  14. It concerns me how violence has been escalating for years but only fringe lobby groups like dairy owners get any attention and have Jacinda coming to the funeral. Youth are blamed.

NZ has become a society that allows the majority of arseholes and bullies and socially unaccountable to encourage to live and victimise others here, while our legal system seems to support the criminals rather than the victims.

Now we are encouraging the worst character people to come to NZ and work here because of our obsession with user pays education and lack of integrity in our tertiary system, now full of frauds and money related education that is feeding through into bad hires and professionals who are not professional.

It’s no longer the unemployed and working class victimising others, now we have the professionals at it too! Everything is ok in NZ, while other countries are quick to take action against bad behaviour to protect society and professional behaviour in NZ, anything goes.

NZ now has very poor behaviour in every aspect of society and seems to be enabling the people to continue to offend – not just the uneducated, being a murdering/fraudster as a professional in NZ, is ok too!

Part of it, is the terrible NZ management class that runs everything here with a bean counter and nepotism, that has disempowered real expertise who leave, while being sucked into identity based thinking rather than excellent results and good behaviour and character as being of upmost importance in the workforce and education.

I hear that Waka Kohati has now hired hundreds more communication staff for example…. no wonder the roads don’t work anymore – bizarre emphasis in NZ on woke marketing than getting the job done, quickly and by experts who know what they are doing!

Society is crumbling in NZ, it’s not just people going around stealing and being violent that is growing here – large amount of professionals are doing what ever they feel like, too.

    • For how long has society here been crumbling? I wonder if some of the outrage is from those hit by the realisation that they fucked up, they created the monster which if it doesn’t smack them directly on the head, hits them by having them captured in outrage mode.

  15. My sense is the community are not feeling safe, not helped by the repeated ram raids and the impunity shown by the criminals involved or the judiciary’s current liking for light sentences like the teenage serial rapist who got Home D. Even the police pursuit policy, well meant, has only empowered these creeps, seeing only weakness and made things more violent.

The only fear of vigilanteism will be because of these reasons, when people think the systems in place for law and order are not working and take on criminals themselves with all the bad outcomes that risks.

I suspect the pendulum has swung too far with liberal attitudes to criminals and I also fear the overcorrection will be similarly marked when we change government next year. That’s why Labour have got to step it up now with a bit less social work and a bit more accountability for crime! Rather than Chippys empty window dressing.

  16. Judge Cheryl will protect them if they go before the courts, these ferals become the victims in her warped topsy turvy world.

  17. Hang in there everyone! “This too shall pass”… we’re on a sharp collective learning curve with front row seats as well as parts to play on the global stage. Check your egos at the door, step on in, welcome! Make it count 🙂

  18. Treat the criminal like the victim, empty the prisons and legitimize and multiply the gangs and be surprised violent crime gets worse.
    Is the government that stupid?
    Yes, yes they really are.
How about the POS gang member who shot somebody in both hands just getting his sentence reduced.
    Feel safer?
Hard sentences have to be part of the solution, for those who show no willingness to change, to keep the real nasty shitbags off the street but a policeman friend of mine tells me the biggest deterrent to criminals offending is fear/risk of being caught, not the sentence necessarily as the calculation in the crims head is not very forward thinking.

So the immediate solution must begin with more and better actual policing, walking the beat, being seen, turning up when called, less fluffy hand holding and sitting on passing lanes bravely enforcing lowered speed limits with a 1 km/hr tolerance.

  19. One more of many things…
    Scenario #1
You own a dairy. You’re being robbed by an armed offender. You, are not armed, yet you chase a machete wielding offender who I assume takes a swipe at you while you wave your arms about in panic. Rule one of being robbed. DO NOT chase an armed offender while you, yourself are unarmed.
Rule two. Order your coffin if you ignore Rule 1.
Rule 3. Never panic. If you feel inclined to panic, run vigorously in the precise and exact opposite direction to the offender’s and keep running for about four hours.
If you do not. Rule 2 applies.
How do I know these things? I ran a retail shop in one of the roughest parts of Christchurch for about 7 years. FYI. A handsaw. A nice, sharp, toothy handsaw. No one want’s a slap around the ears with a handsaw and it’s very difficult to have it taken off you but best of all, it isn’t considered a lethal weapon. Personally, I’m a huge fan of proper pepper spray. A good squirt of that stuff and you’re fucked for half an hour. But like Pot and E, it’s illegal to import. We are tiny little vulnerable children after all and are no allowed to think for ourselves Aye neoliberal Boys?

    • Kia ora Country Boy. I too like the availability of pepper spray, but I think a super soaker water pistol loaded with either Janola or Caustic soda would send someone screaming from my premises. As an elderly woman living alone, I have a spray can of oven cleaner handy to my front door. I hope I never have to use it.

      • Nothing like a kettle of very hot boiled water either. So much kinder to the environment as well.
None of it though is going to solve what’s happening.
It’s probably just going to have to play out. The world and its human inhabitants are nutting out all over the place, triggered by everything from the most trivial, to the most serious.
Man and His/Her/Its ego is His Her/Its own worst enemy.
