When you as a State have decided school girls are enemies and justify beating and shooting them, people of good conscience can’t stand idyll by.
Just as we must stand with the Palestinian people over the horror of Israel’s illegal occupation of their lands.
Just as we must stand with the Uyghurs being tortured by the Chinese regime.
Just as we must stand with Ukrainian people being murdered by the Russian Army.
We must stand with the women of Iran.
The Iranian regime have killed over 230 protestors now!
I don’t agree with economic sanctions on Iran because it is the current American economic sanction regime that is driving much damage in Iran, but I certainly think we should reach out and offer Iranian women escaping the regime asylum here in NZ.
It’s the least we can do.

Pity our MSM doesn’t report the truth on what’s really happening in Iran. I wonder how western countries would react if for example the parliamentary protesters earlier this year in Wellington killed 49 Police officers and murdered ova 100 business people going about their peaceful daily routine?
And Iran support for Palestine is second to none. NZ can’t pretend to match the support for Palestinian than the Iranians in fact NZ supports the oppression and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians with its deafening silence against the only democracy in the M.E
Yes it is a rather bi-polar, and self defeating stance from without… NZ is now utterly irrelevant to anything that is important in the world.. I just wish more than a few kiwis would figure that out, pull their thumbs out of their arses for once, and let the shit clear from their vision. We’d all be much happier if we did.. Funny how Iranian women’s rights are suddenly a major issue just as Iran is supplying military aid to Russia, I mean women in Iran have only been second class citizens for 40 years right so why now?
