Is Putin up to something far worse than this Ukrainian horror?

I want to believe the great KBB Chess master has blundered.

I do.

I want to believe hubris and Russian pride has led Putin to believe a quick victory was in reach and that this cluster fuck top has all been an implosion of his sophistry and ego.

I hope all the experts who were previously predicting he wouldn’t invade the Ukraine, yet who are all so suddenly sure of a tactical blunder are right.

I really hope he’s fucked up and miscalculated.

Yet, something else is here in all this that still makes me terribly nervous.

What if this stalemate is by design?

What if this is Putin’s aim.

What if this is Putin’s plan?

January 27th, 2022, just after the coup in Kazakstan (which the Russian’s blamed on the West), Putin cut a grim figure placing the Wreath at the Commemorations at the Battle for Leningrad.

Putin seemed to have the weight of history upon him, you could feel the 1000 years of orthodox Christianity which he slavishly adheres to holding him to a torturous equation.

What if Putin wants an escalation?

What if a radioactive wasteland between him and NATO is a boundary no Western Army could cross.

What if Putin pushed an awkward and under prepared Army into a stalemate where use of battlefield Nukes becomes the outcome?

What if Putin has pushed all this way because he wants Chaos globally, because he can open up fronts in the Middle East from skyrocketing bread prices, can open up fronts in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Iran. Can damage European gas supplies.

What if for Putin this stalemate is exactly what he wanted in order to escalate?

I want to write Putin’s Ukrainian invasion off as a mad gamble whose arrogance has caused a conflict he will lose, but I have feared Putin ever since the rumour that he bombed the Moscow apartments in 1999 to escalate the war in Chechnya.

He is not to be underestimated.

  1. The other side of the coin is that as Putin is fighting for his own survival. His nuclear option is compromised.

For if he makes Ukraine a nuclear wasteland as a buffer zone against the west, he himself (and his grandiose Russian empire) will be denied access to the Ukraine for the same nuclear wasteland reasons.

Putin is in a corner and will now fight to his final bitter end. The Russian people (or more importantly the Russian empire) stand to lose the most and it is from there his final end will come. His filthy rich, corrupt cronies will read the lay of the land and send him on his way fairly shortly. As will the people who are once again behind an iron curtain.

The Russian empire is finished as well for they are loosing the race and religious “war” against occupation by Chinese in the east and Muslim in its south. These “wars’ are not conflicts but simple occupation by suitcase. As Russian birthrates drop other people simply move in.

He is also cornered from a economic viewpoint. The cost to run his ramshackle armed forces is enormous and can only be funded from the sale of his resources. He has to sell gas, coal, wheat, etc. to fund the war effort plus keep the people housed, healthy and motivated.

As with all empires, they eventually get smaller and smaller in physical size with lesser influence in the world (same as the USA empire). Putin is the last Caesar of the Russian empire. There is no system in place to replace him with the next Caesar. Happens to all autocratic rulers unless a family succession line (as in North Korea, Chechnya, etc) is in place.

Caesar’s are so paranoid not to get stabbed in the back, they remove any likely successor to maintain power. Putin being a prime example. Once he goes there is a power vacuum. Could be internal conflict inside Russia coming up?

PS can anyone explain the Russian military at attention stance where the head is tilted sideways, the chin and eyes skywards. Seems totally unnatural. Especially when they rotate the head as Putin marches past. Super strange.

    • I’ve noticed that as well. I’d it a traditional feature of the Russian drill or something more modern? I can’t say it’s that obvious in old WW2 footage of Soviet troops.

  2. He’s ok. He just doesn’t want the bipolar Biden version of the New World Order King in his backyard.

The west have lost the plot on this.

    Propaganda everywhere!

Anybody remember the build up to the invasion of Iraq?
When the msm were pumping out this sort bs for months and demonised Sadam and talked about the WMD’s he didn’t have?

Putin is a lot smarter than the clowns in the west and pre-empted the US’s planned proxy war on Ukraine soil. Who didn’t see that coming?

The Biden administration is literally doing a MBS Saudi style sheik down of Russia.
Trying to lock Russia out/down. Confiscate Russias wealth and dictate the terms to them. Meanwhile Russia is ignoring the morons and dealing to the nazis on their doorstep.

This is all for Biden’s pending midterm elections coming up and the US’s tanking economy and social cohesion. It’s in the wharepaku.

So let’s hope Putin deals to those nazis and then the Germans, and then Nato, and then the EU and then stick some nukes on Mexican soil.

  3. What’s up with the the latest Joe Biden hologram’s malfunction – his intimation that “we” will not allow Putin’s leadership to stand. That foolish allusion to regime overthrow seems likely to galvanize the cultivated fears that Putin, and by extension, the Russia people are targets, victims of what they believe is Western control and aggression.
    Genius Joe.

  4. Putin may have lost it and forgotten how he played chess for so long while USA and its European assets could barely play draughts. However, he now has potential moves in his hands if he still plays.

The latest problem is the senile old fucker in the US who is causing ructions with an increasing numbers of European leaders because he can’t resist dribbling undiplomatically like a premature ejaculator on heat. The irony is that Biden is guilty of exactly the same ‘war crimes’ as he is accusing Putin of. In fact, has someone got a count of how many times the US has been involved in such actions? NATO have fucked up seriously by letting the US call the shots. While Russia had legitimate red lines that needed to be addressed, NATO decided that there should be no consideration of the bottom lines first mooted almost a decade ago but made an ‘offer you can’t refuse’ like a power hungry Mafia don. Being inept, the US rushed headlong into initiating sanctions without much consideration of consequences – the heartening upshot is that they have fucked up the Bretton Woods Agreement that has enabled the US to financially rape the world since 1944. Pity it hadn’t done so long before demolishing countries with leaders, Libya that attempted to set up alternative regional financial systems before being sodomised with a knife for wanting to pull Africa out of poverty. In the rush to lock in support, NATO and its chain-puller have alienated countries (magnitudes more than half of the world’s population) to take sides. They won’t win their hearts back, especially since that fuck up has now been augmented with threats. One could go further but why bother – the picture is clear for those who have got beyond buying and repeating MSM propagandist platitudes.

Before launching in with abuse, responders are advised, this comment has been contributed by a pacifist who is opposed to the actions taken by Russia but also abhors the hypocrisy displayed by NATO/US. Equally, there no truck with the actions of the Ukrainian leader who has sacrificed his country and lives of its citizens (as well as young Russian conscripts) by playing to the dubious “free world” bullshit that he as bought into.

  5. The Daily Blog is nothing if not a repository of information and opinion favoured by those who are seldom swayed by the MSM’s selective narrative. Yet when the media, using all the scurrilous tricks of its trade, floods it platforms with images of devastation in Ukraine, even the most resolute can waiver and, forgetting for instance last week’s clinical analysis by Mike Treen, retreat from their positions. And in that moment the media wins and Russia loses

  7. the MSM are boringly predictable not even their lies are original…it’s depressing that the skill level is so low…at least in the past they were competent liars now it’s just a parade of wheel on manikins and alleged ‘experts’

  8. All I know is that if WW3 happens NZ will be the worst place to be. China will take the easy option and invade and enslave the NZ population first and then work its way west.

    • Well the bright side is we won’t be “glassed” like the US, Europe and Russia as part of a nuclear exchange. So NZ imo is probably not the “worst” place to be?

  9. I doubt if the Russians (i.e. Putin) have any desire to push further considering the apparently inept performance of his armed forces in Ukraine.

Of note, I hear that our Great Leader is sending two military intelligence officers to Europe to help the Ukrainians with photointerpretation etc., presumably for targetting and other purposes. Does this mean lil’ ol’ Kiwiland is at war with Russia? It certainly looks like a belligerent act.

  10. I had never heard of the Magnitsky Act. It casts long shadows.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BT254smRufA
Bill Browder’s information about looking into Russian financial scams is shocking. And the treatment of the lawyer refusing to enter into dishonest agreements with Putin’s cabal is bad, it reminds me of the journalist in the Saudi Arabian business.

Then a good time to look at this concept that became Transparency International.

Some of the world’s most baffling social problems, says Peter Eigen, can be traced to systematic, pervasive government corruption, hand-in-glove with global companies. In his talk, Eigen describes the thrilling counter-attack led by his organization, Transparency International.
(Has the above been shown to work?)

    • look up Andrei Nekrasov and his history of criticism of the Kremlin then watch his film ‘The Magnitsky Act: Behind the Scenes’ then maybe it might change your opinion?

      • Why bother following up on a prejudicial piece of law crafted by America and imposed at will in the same way as all the other sanctions it imposes internationally. At the end of the day, it is just another for of US theft. Can you give evidence of any other country that has ever been able to invoke this law to punish and steal from US citizens? All in all, it is a typical US hoax devised by a US financier (alleged fraudster even) who didn’t manage to rort the Russians, so got his mates to pass his very suspect legislation.

This situation is a bit like the current sanctions being imposed on Russia. Inflicted by the US despite Putin having only done the same as Biden and various Presidents going back at least to Truman whose mass murder of Japanese has barely rated a mention.

  11. @ MB. You could be right. I couldn’t resolve the Russians’ violent, clumsy, Ukraine cluster fuckery with reason or common sense either.
We, in the west, can sometimes lose sight of how retarded, ignorant, exclusionary and down right nasty WE are, much less the rest of the stagnant pond of humanity in those less enlightened regions of our beautiful planet arguably wasted on we dumb fucking God bothering human-apes. Worse, actually. We’ve long since lost the intellect to even climb a tree much less fling to our shit about while hanging off a branch at the same time. ( I can’t spell faecese. ) What if putin the impaler, but not the inhaler, had rolled up to the Ukraine with tanks and fired cocaine about? Bombed the place flat with Ecstasy pills? And ominous convoy of Gin and Tonics? Corner the enemy inside a building then popped a jazz instrumental on the turntables to get a little down, go a little funky while sparking up spliffs then making coffees?
Well, I can tell you why. That shit doesn’t happen because it’s not what narcissistic psychopaths like to do. Narcissistic psychopaths LOVE causing pain and suffering. Having fun isn’t what thrills their little cocks. It’s violence and misery, that’s what does it. And there’s no better place to hide such abhorrent fetishes than within Gods good churches. The most terrible, awful, monstrous acts of unfathomable violence and terror ever to be inflicted on other, less insane human beings was done in the blood soaked name of God.

    • Grey, you need to be quicker. Dugin is a major ultra nationalist, his influence on Russia is deep, its not recent. His influence on Putin may be less, Putin needs no muse even though he is well read in Dugin ideas. Putin also understands the Atlanticists, he knows he treads the tight rope between two deeply embedded historic opinions and trends.

  12. Russia is not losing the war It is winning it, slowly and methodically, while inflicting the less amount of civilian casualties and destruction of the Ukraine infrastructure as possible. Anyway who wants to get a good idea of the progress of the war should visit the SouthFront website – https://southfront.org/

  13. “We are looking for peace, really, without delay,” Zelensky said.
    28/3/22

“Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said ahead of the latest round of in-person talks between Kyiv and Moscow on Monday that his country is prepared to declare neutrality from NATO, a move that would fulfill one of Russia’s long-standing demands.”

“Security guarantees and neutrality, non-nuclear status of our state. We are ready to go for it,” Zelenskyy said in a video call with several Russian reporters ahead of a fresh round of negotiations between Russian and Ukrainian diplomats in Turkey. The four Russian journalists involved in the call were reportedly ordered not to publish the Ukrainian president’s remarks.

Zelenskyy stressed, however, that a final peace agreement can’t be reached without a ceasefire and withdrawal of Russian troops, whose assault on major Ukrainian cities has entered its second month, worsening a massive humanitarian catastrophe that has reverberated worldwide.

“We are looking for peace, really, without delay,” Zelenskyy said in his nightly address to the Ukrainian public, reiterating that any negotiated deal will be put to the country’s people for a referendum.
