Hey hey now, let’s remember the rules about traveling to Australia

The Trans Tasman bubble is open, here are the rules.

If another Covid outbreak happens, too fucking bad.

We will not tolerate you whining to the media about getting lockdown out, we will not tolerate your calling Jacinda heartless and we will not tolerate your demands to get back in!

The only travel should be urgent, if you are travelling because you are sad sad by the lack of travel and get locked out or in, dems da breaks!

Oh and if an outbreak happens here because of this bubble, it’s on the heads of everyone who demanded the border be opened.

So say all of us.

Increasingly having independent opinion in a mainstream media environment which mostly echo one another has become more important than ever, so if you value having an independent voice – please donate here.

  1. Jaja funny one.
What about the flip flop of if you get stuck over there too bad we ain’t helping.
Then, oh you poor thing you’re stuck over there, here I’ll take money out of the PI factory worker with six kids’ pocket to put on a special flight and free MIQ hotel for you…
    Not so funny.

  2. We’re in a dangerous place with risk of leaks out of NSW into states still within the bubble coinciding with a school holiday (and winter ski season).

There is a risk the government might be too mindful of business interest and be slow on shoring up border control.

We could restrict access to those from Oz with Enzed passports – Quade Cooper and David Rennie in, but not other Wallabies (sarc warning).

  3. Yep, the whinging is getting a bit tiresome. Just a heads up this those stuck in ‘Straya, no one gives a shit about you!

It was made well known borders could close in a heartbeat, not that this wasn’t obvious beforehand.

Maybe do something not to Peter Duttons liking, wear a pink shirt or something, something promoting China perhaps, you’ll be on a “trash” flight asap, on the house!

  4. Our government needs to fix this loop hole now so if and when any other states in Australia have a lock down or outbreak NZers know don’t cry to be helped home and don’t expect free MIQ as this is costing us too much. The same needs to happen with people flying back and forward, you go you pay and when you return if you owe for MIQ don’t let them out of the country as was done with student loan defaulters. Too many people are taking advantage. Also I would like to know who is paying for the mariners, the ones who the media said will be a low risks yet they have the deadly Delta virus. And to make matters worse we now have another foreign ship possibly virus ridden. Yes we may have an obligation but we also have an even bigger obligation to ensure this does not effect our people and our country. The owners of these foreign vessels should have a duty of care otherwise we may have to stop letting them in, they also are taking advantage.

  8. Glad I’m not the only one annoyed by the constant ‘poor me’ stories. What is the National Party take on all this? I haven’t heard anyone asking. Chris Bishop tells me that it was his petition that opened the bubble in the first place, No comment now? Was the govt right to hold back MIQ places ‘just in case’ of an outbreak in OZ? Looks that way to me. I’d be happy for NZ refugees to pay at least half the MIQ costs in the short term. Once the bubble reopens (if it ever does) let it be written in stone that travel at your own risk will mean payment for MIQ if required, not just costs of being stuck in OZ. Surely travel insurers can take this into account and offer polices accordingly. Why is Judith more concerned about people with unpopular views than Kiwis stuck on the wrong side of the ditch? No votes in it?
